I'm obsessed!

The graphics are peaceful and colorful, the music is calming, the sounds aren't obnoxious , and the artwork is overall stunning. The game story is actually quite captivating. in all it's worth the 20 bucks. Definitely.

One of the Best Metroidvanias Around

With an excellent story, addictive gameplay, and a dev team that loves speedrunners and challenge-seekers alike, you can't go wrong. You'll be saving the forest of Nibel again and again.

Great Experience

I used a Logitech version of the Xbox controller to play this on my Windows 10 PC, and I have to say the experience was delightful. From a technical standpoint, it was flawless, everything just worked and the gameplay and mechanics were flawless. There was never a time where I thought, "I should be able to do that" and I couldn't. The art was top notch, from the environment and character design all the way through the symbols and animations. The music was a highly worthy compliment to all the other excellent assets, and played a big part in setting the tone. The story was basic but emotionally impactful. There is really nothing else you could ever ask for from a game. You should buy this and play it all the way through, or you're missing out.

Beautiful and Unique

I wasn't really interested in this game when I first saw it, but I often purchase games and apps just to support developers, and decided to get this one. I was, however, pleasantly surprised at the beauty and innovation of this game. I have only played for an hour or so far, but have nothing to complain about. I'm getting smooth framerates on my Surface Book (i5, no discrete GPU), and can't wait to try it out on my gaming rig. I'll have to play it a little more to determine if I think it is worth the price tag, but from what I have seen so far I am very excited play more. I'll update when I finish the game.

Achievements are glitched!!!

The game is awesome I've played it before on steam, and beat it again now on windows 10, but I'm sad because the achievements that I love to unlock its not working properly on the windows 10, I just beat the game and complete everything 100% and even so some achievements involving secret collectibles didn't unlock, like the "No stone unturned" its stuck at 53% I love this game and I would have give it five stars but, until this is solved I'm going to leave it with just one. Update: After many tries I manage to unlock the remaining achievements for me, I had to exclude all others saves I have, and start a new one only then I was able to unlock achievements again, seems like you got to have only one save to gain achievements, if you have two or more the achievements will not unlock, hope that I help someone with this! Now that the problem is solved i'l give the five stars that this awesome game deserve!

This is the Greatest 2D Platformer Ever Made

I've been playing videogames for decades. I play a wide range of genres but one of my favorites is platformers--particularly, puzzle platformers. Ori and the Blind Forest is, in my opinion, the best 2D game in the genre. The game is perfect--gorgeous graphics, art, sound, and music, coupled with phenomenally perfected gameplay. This is a must-buy game. The Xbox Live integration--achievements, plus cross-save with the Xbox One version, and integration with Windows 10's Xbox app for achievement tracking, clip sharing, social features, etc.--makes it even better. I played this on a Surface Pro 4 (i7, 8GB) with an Xbox One controller and a large, second monitor. Everything worked smoothly. I love how easy it is to install games from the Windows 10 Store too.

Not touch-screen capable

A beautiful game, well designed, like all other reviewers described. However, it is NOT TOUCH-SCREEN COMPATIBLE! For $20 I wish I had known I would have to connect an external keyboard to my Windows 10 all-in-one to play. Just saying, I know that's how traditional "pc games" are played, but most Windows 10 apps in the store are designed to utilize the touch-screen interface for which Windows 10 was designed. 4 stars because this was not addressed in the description of the game. And because if I wanted to use a keyboard to play a game, I would have installed it on my desktop machine. Turns out I could play it with an Xbox controller, but I don't have one, nor any idea how to connect it to my all-in-one.

Hi Lisa – Sorry to hear that you’ve having a less than ideal experience. While we would’ve like to have supported touch controls, we needed to focus on ensuring that controller and keyboard/mouse support was as responsive and enjoyable as possible. If you do decide to pick up an Xbox controller for your PC, most all-in-one devices will have a couple USB ports which you can use for this purpose!

It's an experience worth having.

Thank you Microsoft for making this game available for the PC users. Please keep Xbox Live titles coming, I will support with my wallet. This game does not disappoint from the very opening and onward. Great story, beautiful art, smooth framerate, fantastic controls, and to top it off, the music creates the sublime atmosphere filling one with feelings and emotions rarely experienced in modern games. Highly recommend it.
