A Shame...

A real shame that PayPal decided to abandon W10 Mobile. I understand the market share is low, but there are still people that use it and it's really sad that a company like PayPal would leave customers out in the dark like this. Sure you can still access PayPal from the browser, but the ease of use of an app over a browser is incomparable. Hope PayPal realizes this and ultimately decides to bring the app back.

Windows Mobile is Awesome

Fine, we are a very small market share, but we are also very loyal and know why Windows Mobile is the better phone and mobile device OS. When companies drop support for this operating system, it's insulting. BofA brought their app back for Windows 10. You should too!

Frustrating

If you aren't going to bring the app back, could you at least remove it from the store and stop flashing an ad for it every time I go to the site? I use Windows and PayPal both for my business and it's disappointing that I have to choose between integration and convenience, let alone be constantly reminded of that choice.

Why is this still listed in the store?

As of early September 2016, this sunsetted app is still in the Essential Apps collection. That's a bit ridiculous. Unpublish the thing already!

Too bad for PayPal......

Their service is excellent, no complaints there. PayPal chose to abandon the only good platform in favor of something else. Apps are convenient but in no way necessary to have access to an excellent service. PayPal should remove their app from all platforms. Who needs an app anyway?

And PayPal gives up on Windows...

The app used to be functional enough to get by, but as of the last update PayPal has officially given up on Windows Mobile. I'm silently hoping at the back of my mind that they will come back with an app built for Windows 10 like Bank of America did, but I seriously doubt it. We need more giants like PayPal to build apps for the platform to create the foundation needed to draw more people to the platform, but as we see all too often, we get a mediocre app with no support that ultimately gets pulled from the store. This app is basically a sham now because it's not an app at all and serves no real purpose anymore. Sad day.

I just want to know why?

I gave PayPal 5 stars because they are awesome, I use them for business and personal things. I just switched back to windows phone because it's way better than iPhone and android. I want to know why companies are taking down their apps that are so useful?!

Was a great app.

It was a reckless idea to shut down a popular app. It was solid and very useful. Not only can I not use this on my phone but it is not available on my PC either. Wonderful job guys... *slow clap*

Directs you to a website!

Have you ever tried to go to PayPal.com using a web browser? If so, you know it's virtually impossible to do. Fear not! The makers of the now defunct PayPal app, present the all new PayPal Web Browser Opener and Typer Inner of PayPal.com So You Don't Have To app. No more will you have to open up that browser yourself. With this app you'll never have to type PayPal.com again!! And how much would you pay for this feat of programming dexterity? $1.99? $0.99?? How about NO COST AT ALL!! That's right, if you download this app now before they actually pull it from the store altogether, you can have it for FREE! So go on, get the app and start sending and receiving money the same way you've been doing since PayPal's infancy. How about a testimonial: "This app is really intuitive. I dont know how they accomplished it but they've taken all the complexity and functionality out of the previous version, and pretty much put a link right to their web site in here. It's a huge game changer." - Max
