Not a scam

I must say, the app looked like a scam at first. The good news is, it isn't a scam - it works and does the same thing Windows Media Player does (which isn't available on Windows RT). One major nitpick, tough: If the video does not fill the screen, it uses the Metro Background color to draw bars around the video, instead of black. The Metro Background color is usually something bright like green, red, or purple. The video is centered and scaled up to fill the screen, as it should be. Another reviewer noted that pause doesn't work from the Nokia Play To app - it seems this has been fixed, works for me.

Work's but with minor issue

When playing video or music from Nokia Play to. the pause does not work and have to back right out to stop it. Otherwise works awesome. Would be great if could have a background task that takes focus and stays available all of the time that way I don't have to open it if I want to use it.

Cropping Issues

Really annoying that pictures that aren't 16:9 show up on the left side with that awful default background showing. Please center picture and show a black background

design is not so good

Splashscreen is ugly. Especially on a high resolution screen - I used a 23 inch (resolution: 1900-1080) lcd

Plays my videos on the big screen

I use this to share my videos from my phone to my PC that I have hooked up to my 'dumb' TV. Make sure you have a good wireless connection like 802.11n or 802.11ac or other DLNA certified router for video streaming.

Works with Windows 8 -> RT

Install and run on your Surface or other RT device, and make sure network discovery is turned on for both computers. Then add a device on Windows 8, and it will find the media player. **You will have to rename the player** to match the name of your RT device. Now view a video file in Windows Explorer on Windows 8, and you'll see the "PlayTo" menu enabled and can play to your Surface. Use Remote Desktop from RT to start/pause/stop playing. Works great!!!

I didn't think it would work but it does. Great streaming videos from my Surface to my desktop pc with the big screen monitor. Makes me want to get a home theatre pc to stream to.

Works great, until you want to do something else..

As metro apps are suspended while off screen, the music stops when you go to do something else on the computer. Aside from that it showed up on my phone instantly and plays fine. But going to stick with windows media player for this since I can multitask there.

Works But....

Only works if it is fully open - does not work at all if minimized. Wanting to cast my tunes to my PC.
