Great podcast app

This app is easy to use and is one of the most comprehensive podcast apps that I have found. Recommended.

Not very good

First it's interface looks nice and fits in well with the windows 10 theme... but it never leaves that "catalog" feel to it. I would like to have playlists, see my new podcasts that recently updated, and so on. Instead I just see the icons of what they want to listen to, what I recently added, my "subscriptions" (which is just them putting icons down to their RSS feeds), and everything else. I really want to have something to replace the bloated iTunes software but this isn't it.

This app is awesome

It has all the podcasts, even some of the obscure ones that I listen to! It passes my test with flying colors. Keep up the good work!

Best windows podcast app

Hands down the best podcast app on this store. Also helps that it has resume playback. Easy to add subscriptions and discover new ones.

Designed for phones, not tablets

The app works well (but certainly not flawlessly), but is obviously designed for tiny windows, not tablet screens. The interface is very light on information (just big pictures) and the actual player interface is minescule and very difficult to navigate with precision - if the podcast you are listening to is 2 or 3 hours long, don't expect to scroll to the timestamp you want.

Can't build playlists

You can't make playlists. You can't automatically download an entire series. You can't get rid of the "Featured" podcasts on the main screen. Main screen itself is poorly designed since it shows both "recently listens" AND "Subscriptions" right next to each other, which means two whole sections showing almost exactly the same thing. The controls are in the top right which cuts off most of the title of an episode. There is no way to move the controls which means when an episode ends, you have to guess which one to play next. Also, in the episode lists, there's no indicator as to what you have listened to or not. The playback controls are too small to use your finger with, you HAVE to use the stylus for anything other than Play/Pause. Oh, I DO REALLY LOVE that you can adjust playback speed!! This is Awesome! But that aside, almost everything else with this app needs serious redesign.

needs some updates

Although that I do like to listen/watch podcasts, windows version could use some updates. I think that there needs to be a couple updates. I think that some bugs needs to be fixed and layout needs to be update. For example for layout, you can add New and Rising, Popular, and different genre's sections (anime, history, gaming, mystery, comedy, radio, & so on and so forth). And one of the bugs that needs to be fixed is that not all podcasts has every episodes from the very beginning. I know that I have the ios version and it has a lot more podcasts from episode 1 to current episodes, various genres, up to date, and is updated more. not trying to bash or favor a certain brand. sorry

Good but has room to improve

I think this is a good app. It has most of the podcasts that I like to listen to. If you don't find a podcast that you like, you can provide the URL or RSS address and can then listen to them. You can subscribe to podcasts on here, unlike what another reviewer said. You have to click on the podcast to bring up the page listing all of the episodes then swipe up to engage the app menu. There is an option to 'subscribe'. What I don't like: When you get to the list of episodes for a podcast, the description doesn't always fit in the window space given. There currently doesn't appear to be a way to see the rest of description. If you click on the episode, it just begins to play. And if the episode was already playing, it starts from the beginning. I don't care for the retro look of the background. I would like to be able to click on the now playing information and get a full screen view with FF and RW options. Can't play while minimized. Needs some improvement, but good.

easy to use

for a free app, this is pretty good. easy to add new podcasts even if they arent listed. i would add a few things: 1. A playlist function, so that i dont have to select each chapter when it ends. 2. Sorting function, especially by author or series. 3, when searching existing database, the ability to go back to the menu without having to start at the beginning. I love this app, but it could take some lessons from the Podcast Addict app.

Nice Metro Podcast App

This is a nice podcast app. Using the app on both Windows 8 and Surface RT. No auto downloads (Just manual ones. Might be a limitation for Win8). Need be able to filter between video and audio only podcasts. Individual podcast thumbnail art doesn't update.
