great SIM RACING game

This is great racing game.It better then forza. You need to get a controller setup to drive.Go to YouTube and get a setup that works for you.Ifyou want to go around the track and wreck people please play need4speed or something else.If you can't race learn how to before racing on multiplayer. This is a great game but still needs some improvements.Still the best racing game out there.

Ironicly unplayable.

Guys imagine a car game, but its impossible to drive. the game looks good, option to move hud is great, and audio and amazing controler rumble makes it enjoyable but if you wear headphones your ears will bleed. no tutorial, no motive, impossible to drive. do not want.

not good

It looks cool, but the physics are complete and utter garbage. The car list isn't that good either, no Lamborghinis or Ferraris and barely any Aston martins, and that's just the beginning. Save yourself the money and the storage. If you want a good racing game, get forza or need for speed. No wonder this game was free.

Start Your Engines For Cheap and Unenjoyable Racing

I was never a huge fan of realistic racing simulators but I always knew they were widely liked by others. So since it was free with gold, I gave it a shot. Lets start with pros...its got good graphics I guess. Pros over, now lets look at cons. Unfortunately the first thing you will notice is a complete lack of a tutorial teaching you the games complex controls making any and all early gameplay without a walkthrough annoying and dull, with probably instant loss of any race. Not to mention the menus are extremely hard to navigate and confusing. I know its a harsh, over used, and unfair statement in this poor games reviews, but if you are looking for easy racing fun, just save up for Forza instead of this unfinshed, and counter intuitive pile of hot road kill. Oh don't worry, there is some fun to be had if you trial and error your way through the cliff steep difficulty curve, but all the problems mentioned turn you off of ever doing it. Just go back to Tekken and Pacman Namco.

The steering is realistic, but not fun

it's not fun to crash on every turn. the handling needs to be easier. Also, the screen to create a setup for a car makes no sense to casual racing gamers. it should be less technical and more simple and fun.

This is NOT a racing game Its a racing sim

Big difference here when you jump on the controls of this racing sim compared to most. This game takes time to master, you cannot approach this game like its need 4 speed. If you really enjoy actual track racing this is a great representation of that type of racing. You have to use specific setups for each track, know when to brake so your not flying off track. If you are a trigger smashing type of driver, you will be in for a short and frustrating experience. This is important!!! if u dont have a steering wheel for this game certain cars with certain track conditions will b a challenge to handle, so to offset that b sure to check online for different force feedback settings for your controller. TRUST that it makes the difference between really enjoying this game or giving up and going back to Forza. Once i figured out the correct settings for the controller I was angry for not having played sooner. The active weather cycle is a nice touch.

this game brings shame

bad. n career mode players push u off track, and are super passive aggressive. Ive been playing both on\off track racing games for years and i just couldn't w this 1.

beautiful but unresponsive

When I first got Project Cars I thought it was one of those games that would become a loved classic, but after playing for around an hour I have to admit i was sadly mistaken. Project Cars has beautiful graphics and a very interesting selection of cars, not to mention a very unique realism aspect that has to do with the way you adjust the setting in your car to deal with all the different scenarios that you will encounter during your time in the game. Though Project Cars has quite a few strong points and quality graphics, one thing I feel it lacks is control. Its almost impossible to keep any of the cars on the track when you have to turn, even after tweeking the brake settings it was still impossible to go around even the easiest corners without slamming into the barriers. One more disappointing aspect of driving was that even though the cars were going in excess of 200 MPH, according to the gauges, the cars looked as though they travel very slow. If fixed, I might retry this game.
