Missing something...to say the least.

This is about the best multitrack recorder I could find in the app store. So the good thing is that it is my favorite so far, however it is missing some simple comforts of usability and also has some major issues. You cannot fast forward your track so skipping large portions and general navigation is anything but user friendly. There are tool icons everywhere with no explanation of what they actually do. Consult the online manual if you want but many of these tools are not mentioned in it. The biggest complaint that I have is I just paid for the app only to find that it STILL will NOT allow me to mixdown the track to an audio file! So what's the point of recording when you cant make a finished product...So know I have to make a recording of my track on a separate device and lose a generation.

Thanks for the detailed review, it will help me to improve the app. As for the difficulty to move along the track, you can use the markers that allow you to easily move (to add a marker you make a long tap in the area above the tracks). Regarding the manual, you're right, we add new features very often and very quickly, and sometimes the manual is not updated. We are writing a new manual. To export a song, you click on the file button and then on the Mixdown button. You can determine the beginning and the end of the mixdown by moving the blue arrows that are located high up on the tracks. It's good except for all the closing out

I'm far from a music wizard or anything but I think it's a pretty good app. It would be A LOT better if it didn't close out for no reason at all.

Four hours of my life wasted

I wanted something on my tablet to record ideas for my band. This application simply cannot record though internal or external microphones. My other apps can hear me, but this one cannot recognize, or start, any microphone. I spent hours putting together a reasonable drum track only to discover that I cannot add guitar or vocals. Avoid this app. Its not the money, its the time they stole from me.

It wouldn't download

I kinda just got this laptop and I was wishing for a music program to fool around with in my free time. It has been almost three hours now I'm connected to a amazing WiFi supporter and it refuses to download even the littlest. Anything else that I've downloaded that is a bigger size is done in less than three minutes I am contemplating refund but I'm not entirely sure if the audacity that the developers hold allows them to do so. Please read this. I need feedback to my feedback. Thank you.

I'm sorry you've had trouble downloading the app. Unfortunately I do not control the Microsoft Store, so do not depend on me, but usually the problem is solved after a few hours. If you can not resolve, you let me know and I'll contact Microsoft.

CRASHES

Love the app, but there was a couple of things that didn't work for me. The app work for a few minutes then crash and shut completely off for me. Also when I tried recording different tracks together they were not in sync. Even if I tried singing with on one track and playing guitar on the other track, the timing would be off. If those things were fixed for me I would love the app!

Great app.

It has the ability to produce professional studio sound music. I use it more then any other program. more simple to use like a garage band for windows basically. all around great app. only thing is it does crash some times. but its worth it if u have any patients.

Good To Get Ideas Out

You can't save a song to play on anything outside of program unless you get pro. But interface is super simple, and easy to get ideas out without getting too complex.

danny say

its cool, give more free features to start out with, so we have enough time to get use to the program before we buy final version. THANK YOU. Great music recording app.

Great program. There were a few issues that kept me from giving it 5 stars. Quantize doesn't seem to work right at all other than in 4/4 time using 1/32. Trying it in 6/4 only messes up the notes and I have to undo to go back. Selecting notes in edit mode is difficult even when zoomed in. Eventually if I tap enough time it will select but it's frustrating. Also it eventually will freeze up if it's running long enough, usually once the phone has heated up significantly. On the positive side, the virtual instruments sound great. If you add another rock organ in the future, I'd like to suggest a Hammond B-3 organ. Keep up the good work.

this a great app feature-wise and is so far unparalleled in the wp marketplace. despite the occasional slowdown, i still find it to be extremely useful in getting stuff recorded when I'm not around my laptop. the feature set more than makes the price worth it. the only things i would like to see changed is to optimize the app for speed and an updated help file for some of the new features. other than that, fantastic. keep up the good work!
