Rhapsody used to be awesome... you could find artists you previously hadn't discovered, you could choose a Genra, then a Sub Genre and see all of the artists there... Now, you only see "New Releases" and the play lists they want you to see. If I wanted a basic app with basic functions, I certainly wouldn't be paying this much for it... I'd use a FREE service to listen to music. If you're looking for a premium-cost radio, Rhapsody is for you. If you're wanting to discover new/old artists and build your own playlists... Rhapsody is NOT for you... just move along... While you can search and find an artist, continuing on to find similar artists, or even listening to "top tracks" in a sub genre just isn't going to happen. Hopefully they will get back to what made them the best service on the planet... otherwise, they'll lose out to other services which are far superior at offering the basics that Rhapsody is charging a premium price at subpar delivery.

Better than the past

Works well, BUT the reason many people use Rhapsody is to explore/search for music. The app is laid out as if I only want to listen to my playlists, new releases or un-radio. I wish that the search function was built into the main screen and more prominent rather than being buried in the click-menu at the top left of the screen.

Needs Optimization for Windows 10 users.

I Don't know why, but the current version seems to fail miserably when it comes to Windows 10. It needs support for easy navigation with a mouse! Heck, why not use your web app as a template? It's great!

HATE win 8.1 ver

I've been w/Rhapsody since it's inception. this version is the WORST. Designer should be FIRED. I don't want to go to 8 screens to see my playlists. Designer never heard of minimizing white space I guess. I want all of my stuff on ONE HOME DASHBOARD like ver4. AND there is no more equalizer. HATE IT. The manual says there is a setting icon but there is none on the version that came preloaded with new computer. Tried installing old version and got errors. Tried signing into new version from Rhapsody site to see if my preloaded version is faulty and got errors. Rhapsody, PAY ATTENTION. This new versions is NOT user intuitive. It has a TON of useless time wasting white space, no equalizer, no description of radio stations (at least not on my version), and it is different than then the manual. Settings was a hidden menu on the right that I had to drag in. GO BK TO DRAWING BOARD or you are going to lose LONG TIME CUSTOMER

I use it daily, my most important Windows Phone app. Originally gave it 3 or 4 stars. The new update is awesome, can fully manage my playlists now. I prefer it to Spotify and the others because the browse is more intuitive, the supplemental info is better and it looks great.

I agree with most of the recent reviews of this app. I've been a loyal Rhapsody customer for years, and this is by far the WORST interface they have ever come out with. It is completely nonfunctional. None of my playlists show up, my music library is empty, and when I try to play an album it continuously skips to the next song and never actually plays anything. I agree with other users, if this were my only access to Rhapsody I would definitely cancel.

I tried Xbox Music and Spotify, and Rhapsody is superior to both in my opinion. Very easy to navigate, stable, and now enables playlist management from the phone. Playback problems mentioned by others may be related to their Wi-Fi signals.

Terrible UI

The UI in this app is absolutely terrible. Doing things as simple as navigating to the search bar require multiple clicks and unnecessary menus to get to. The app doesn't even allow you to skip to a certain part in the song you're listening to. It plays music just fine but simple navigation of the app makes me not want to use it at all.

Only music app I use

I've been using this app for over 15 years. I love it and all the improvements. Although it isn't free like other apps, I would much rather pay for the quality I get with my ever changing music taste as opposed to a free app that won't let me have full control of my listening mood or activity. The only app I know of that lets you customize play lists that you can listen to offline on multiple devices at the same time. The only app I will continue to use in my family for music.

Long time subscriber - Do not like Window 8 App

The Win 8 app lacks basic necessary functions such as downloading tracks and I can't seem to find a way to build a queue on the fly. iPad and Android apps are great. The PC desktop version is great. However I am frustrated as a very loyal and long term customer with the Window 8 App.
