Buy your tickets – as easy as 1-2-3. Ruter’s mobile app lets you buy your ticket before you get on board. The ticket is valid on the Metro, buses, trams, ferries and trains in Oslo and Akershus. Quick purchases options are based on your previous purchases and issue you a new ticket in just two easy stages. You can buy a ticket just for yourself or for a group travelling together. You can buy single tickets and period tickets. If you have an active ticket which covers only part of your intended journey, you can buy a supplementary ticket for the rest. If you wish to transfer valid 7- or 30-day tickets from one device to another, you may do so twice free of charge. After this there will be a charge of NOK 100 per ticket. You can buy tickets in advance, and you can change the start time for your ticket. Your receipt will be sent via e-mail. In order to make your purchase dialogue as easy as possible, the ticket app must have access to: * Location services Knowing your location means that the app can automatically suggest a ticket in the zone where you are located. * Data services Internet access is necessary to buy tickets and download them to your mobile. Knowing your network status means reducing the number of requests to the ticket server. This means lower power consumption and a faster user interface. * Phone identity The application is not able to make calls, but bought tickets will be linked to your phone’s unique ID so that your mobile is recognised as a valid ticket carrier. * Photo, music and video libraries Access is required to show the daily control animation.

Needs to link to RuterReise

I can't link my credit card and calling the number is only in Norwegian, so I can't get the issue resolved. I also wish it easily liked to RuterReise or offered to download it and then switch back and forth easily.

Used to be good

Once upon a time, ruterbillet was a great solution to Oslo's seriously confusing ticketing platform. You just entered your bank information and the start and end point, maybe using RuterReise to map it first, and then bought a ticket that was good for trams, ferries, and buses. Not anymore though. It won't accept foreign payment methods so all the advantages of having an app in English are totally gone. What a waste.

Purchases over 200 can be protected worth a password. After entering it, nothing happens and the ticket can not be purchased from the app.

Ruter skylder på Microsoft - løsning via NSB

Ringte selskapet og fortalte at man ikke kan oppdatere med BankID-lenger og dermed ikke kjøpe billett. De sa det var Microsofts sin skyld siden de ikke støttet en ny sikkerhetsløsning i BankID-systemet. Spør du meg er unnskyldningen syltynn. BankID fungerer utmerket i andre Windows-apper. Uansett så har jeg kommet rundt problemet ved å kjøpe Ruter-billetter gjennom NSBs app. De lar deg nemlig gjøre det, og da fungerer det utmerket. Klarer NSB det, så bør Ruter klare det også - men det er jo ikke de samme folkene som jobber i Ruter som i NSB. Når Ruter fikser problemet (som har vart siden i sommer), så spretter stjernekastet opp igjen til 5.

Bankid fungerer ikke

Kommer så langt som til bankID autentisering og så viser den ingenting. Får dermed ikke brukt appen. Kolumbus i stavanger har fått elektroniske billetter til å fungere, hvorfor ikke Ruter i hovedstaden?

Kan ikke lenger legge til bankkort

Nå er jeg lei av at denne appen ikke fungerer. Det begynte med at jeg ikke fikk varsel om at billetten gikk ut, så kunne jeg bare kjøpe enkeltbillett og ikke periodebillett. Sendte inn klage til ruter og fikk beskjed om å legge inn appen på nytt. Gjorde som jeg fikk beskjed om, men nå henger appen hver gang jeg prøver å bekrefte et kort via bankID og appen er dermed helt ubrukelig. På bussen henger det reklame for betaling med både mobilePay og Vipps, hadde vært på tide at windows appen fikk en oppgradering også!
