Useless, doesn't even start up, other people have the same problem so it's not just my computer, this needs to be fixed, I can't get any work done, I originally installed this program from a cd that came with my printer and that cd isn't even accepted by my tablet, I'm wondering if Samsung did something to not allow this, annoying

App shuts down

This seemed to be the answer to managing my printer to scan items into my PC. However, the app opens and it has to be clicked to minimize then maximize to get to the controls. Then when the scan is initiated the app shuts down completely.

Crashes on startup

I've always used this app with my Samsung printer, very happily, but it just crashes on startup now. Pretty useless as it is currently. The app when it worked was good enough, but could have been given some love.

It actually works

It actually detected my SCX-4623W and... scanned! Just like that! It used to be a 40 minute ordeal getting that thing to scan over wifi.

Works great!

I have a SCX-4729PW and it works great. I'm connected wirelessly and I'm able to print and scan using all features.

What a useless app - won't find my Samsung SCX-3405W printer no matter what I try. Why would they even bother writing an app that doesn't work with their own printer. They should just stick to making televisions.

Works, but needs more features.

I have a Samsung ML-1865W B/W Laser printer, and it works fine, showing that the printer is online and without errors. However, it doesn't allow you to view the errors without loading SyncThru, which I used to do previously without this app. It is nice to have the live tile to indicate errors for you before someone else tells you something didn't print and to come remove {X error; e.g. paper jam}. If it had better functionality with showing detailed errors directly within the app, I'd give it 5 stars.

Most of App's functions do not work

The app shows that I have an alert, but when I go to the alert page, there are no alerts, even though the heading shows one is current. When I click on the link to order supplies, it goes to the Samsung website but I get a message saying that the server is unavailable. Once on the website, finding the proper toner cartridges is not automatic; you must know the model numbers as there is no filter for the model of printer. I love the printer, but the software just gets in the way. This does not affect the quality of the prints, just creates extra steps in getting to them.

Can't select format for saving scanned files (NO PDF)!

The good: The app found both my new MFP at home and an older one at work. And it supports scanning up to 600 dpi (vs. 300 dpi in the Windows 10 built-in app). That's it. The BAD: 1. No way to select output format for scans. I tried to scan a multi-page document in B&W, and got multiple TIFF files, which is absolutely useless! A normal person expects to get a single multi-page PDF file, or at least to have a choice! 2. No way to select the default folder for saving scanned files/images. I had to search through my whole C: drive to figure out where the images were saved, which is not good. I am expecting to be able to rename and move useful scans to the folders where I want to see them, rather than store them "somewhere" in a single folder. 3. Nobody needs printing functionality within the app - one can always print from any particular application, and most printers are automatically recognized by the operating system nowadays. Samsung should rather fix the existing app...

Doesn't Connect to Printer

Samsung should be pretty disappointed in this app. Let's list off the problems. Samsung, in case you are reading this, I am using Windows 10: * With their forced aspect ratio, it's only possible to use it in full screen mode * It does not connect to my printer, a 1-year old machine that we bought from a major retailer, not some corner case model * Every link that I click on brings up two pages in my web browser * The help link takes me to the Korean Samsung page - I am not in or near Korea Come on.
