Same data is available elsewhere for free
This app is OK, there are similar tools in the store for free that provide the same functionality. I also didn't like that the license for this app is only good for one year. Not worth an annual subscription. I also did like that there wasn't a whole earth map view available that I could sort by size and date.More
Shake: Excellent app.
A must have app for people (like me) who live in an earthquake prone zone. The push-notification (alerts) & the live tile feature is a huge plus. 5 stars.More
One of the best WIN8 app
great app.. loved the UI .. The fact that it provides push notification could be very useful and also serve as early warning system especially for tsumanis prone areas ..More
Doesn't work w10/spro3
UI fail on Windows 10 on Surface Pro 3. Only 1/3 of the UI shows, in a thin strip in the middle. Pressing any button gives the message SHK011 Something Went Wrong.More
What a waste, it makes you pay even to read more than 3 news articles per month. I can get all the news I want for free so tell me why I would pay for your little POS app?!?!?More
A GPS problem, this app places me 200 miles north of where I am living, in Los Angeles. How can anyone trust an earthquake app who can't locate any closer than 200+ miles? There has to be something better out there some place.More
Not very impressed with this app.
Settings are stuck no volume on demo video.More
pales in comparison with the iPad USGS app
Slow to load/refresh data, no link from reported quake to USGS "Did you feel it" report page. Context is slim at best with no meaningful human context (no indication whatsoever of any tsunami or fatalities WRT 2/5/2013 "Solomon Islands" earthquake (reported as M8.0, not 5+ in Shake. Needs to incorporate a Tsunami view, as all tsunamis are EARTHQUAKE RELATED. Needs to show a global map of all filtered earthquakes, not just one-by-one at a time. EARTHQUAKES HAPPEN WITHIN A LARGER CONTEXT.More
mm I didn't like it, what you can read here is the same of what you can easily read on the internet, there isn't even a map that shows you the places where the earthquake is happening, just a list of earthquakes around the world, and when you click on one of them it let you see the location on the map + you cant see more than 1 earthquake at the time, uninstalled it.More
