A lot of work needed.

Beautiful app, but no written instructions of any kind you click help, video examples not even with speech! Example tap the tool being used drag this way or that way, to enlarge or shrink?! ok... But what do those little buttons on the left side of it do? What do all the properties do? FYI for PhotoShop painters, instead of flow/opacity depending on what you are trying to find, The property Accumulation is probably the property you are looking to modify. Otherwise its a great app but not in anyway for most folks, Unless you are gifted with a 6th sense of some kind.

Usable, Not Ideal

I only have the free version currently; I will definitely say that I would have appreciated a layer functionality, even if it were limited to 2 or 3 layers total prior to purchasing the pro version. I enjoy how the interface isn't totally in your face and disappears when you're sketching. Perhaps I'd like to see if the interface can be customized (colors changed, tools moved around, etc.) in the next update for pro, and then I could see it being worth the high price you've posted. All in all, I can certainly say that as far as the free version goes, Sketchable has become my favorite app to draw with on my SP4.

Good, but...

I love this app. It has a simple interface, is easy to use, and feels like drawing on paper. Great app, and great customer service. They've been responsive and helpful when I reached out to them with an issue. Still a lot of bugs to work out to get things going smoothly, but I recommend it.

Easy to use - I've used it almost non-stop for my sketches

Curses, foiled again

I really love the concepts behind this app, and the way that it performs its operations. I purchased the full kit of brushes and pens for Windows 8.1, because it was impossible to evaluate with the free/trial version. Too much stuff was missing. However, I have encountered two very large problems: 1) There is no written instructions at all. The only "tutorials" are provided by Lawrence Mann. While amazing, they run at a speed that is impossible for a learner to follow, and often they are only a few seconds long and delve only into one specific area at a time, or else they are a combination of everything that the app can do delivered at lightning speed. 2) There is no indication that the 8.1 version of the app is significantly less functional than the Win10 version of the app, and all of the tutorials seem to be using the win10 version of the app, which has many features that aren't available in the win8 version of the app. OUCH!

Pleased with the quality

But not pleased with the price and limited features available for free users.. I did purchase this product because it's the best I found available for my new MSP4, but I still think the price point is a bit high for what it does, and the free features are so limiting it's hardly useable other than as a preview, as others have complained about. I'm all for purchasing a good app to support the developer(s), but I just don't like it when they're advertised as free if they really aren't, so minus one star for each of those issues. Also, so far it seems to lag a lot...

Seems good but with a major problem

This drawing application seems to have a lot of great potential but I can't use it. The only way for me to launch it is if I open the Windows store. I can't even view it anywhere else other than here. Even when I can open it there is no instance of it on the task bar. So if I wanted to minimize it I can but if I wanted to open it back up again the only way form me to do that is if I use the Windows store or use the task manager. I can't even get rid of it now and I have now idea what to do. I am sure that this drawing application has a lot of potential but quite frankly unless it works properly I can't give it any more that one star. Fix it and I will rate it honestly.

Probably ok for techies but totally counter-intuitive

Ever heard of "drag and drop"? Ever considered a right click and "delete"? Simple, basic features are absent. Who ever designed the interface was way too close to the development side. An inexperienced user should be able to intuitively figure out the basics with ease, particularly as the help function is a joke. This is, for the casual user, a very substandard product. Not really worth the time. It's free and it STILL costs too much.

Works great with Surface Pro 4.

This is a very natural drawing interface and works perfectly with the Surface Pen on a SP4. Of the available sketching/drawing apps for the Surface, this is the best one in my opinion. Responsive to pen and touch, with an interface that gets out of the way when you are drawing. Note though that the trial version is limited and if you want to actually use the available features, you'll need to purchase the unlocked version.

Brush sizes should be allowed in free version

Love this app and bought it after an hour of use. Love the simplicity and responsiveness, especially on the Surface Pro. Minus one star for the lack of brush sizing in the free version. Users should be allowed to play around with brush sizing as it only enhances the initial enjoyment of the app. Looking forward to more updates.
