Show only online etc. should be included. As well as I cannot manage contacts. If I delete one, it will instantly show up again. And contacts may not sync between pc and mobile version. Please fix.

Much better

UWP version is gazzilion times better than prior Modern version. Still, some features are missing from desktop but since it is Preview I will give it a pass. Kudos to whoever made Skype usable again.

Best skype ever .... Just need a Live tile ☺

Video call quality is improved a lot. Need a transparent Live tile, may be with the profile picture

It misses so many settings from the regular PC version

No add call button, no microphone / video / notification settings, no audio configuration. This is desktop computing. You are not coding your software for mobile phones. Add in a proper settings menu please. Also, cannot resize chat window and the video? Also, no full screen video option. My contact's camera is the regular 16:9 and because I'm on a 21:9 monitor, as soon as I go full screen I lose top and bottom portions of their video during the call. As soon as I change audio devices, the sound gets cut off during video chat. I like the new UI other than these. This is just a preview though, so I guess these are acceptable. P.S.: I'd not even be giving the "preview" a try if your latest desktop update hadn't broken my webcam support. My webcam works perfectly in every other application but the latest Skype, for some reason it freezes out every 15 seconds also. P.P.S.: Seriously, this is desktop PC computing, get it together, not having drag and drop file sharing is ridiculous.

Huge Improvements

Very nice UI showing how a UWP app can be brilliant. Although there lots of bugs, thing are seemed to be refined with regular updates to get a stable one. The worst is lagging video call when changing focus to another window other than Skype! and also background activity for calls and messages while its window is closed.

Attention Korean Skype Users [update 9/8/15]

ATTENTION; If you upgraded to Win 10, then you're facing a really annoying problem where Skype's affiliate DAESUNG is preventing you from re-downloading this app.... [ I have found out that this is a universal problem. Once you upgrade to Win 10, there is absolutely no way to return to the tablet version of skype. UPDATE; Skype Preview is NOT available for Korean users. I repeat; Skype Preview app is NOT available for Korean users.

For the PC

For the PC- where in the heck is the feed back ability like all the other microsoft apps? my contacts do no reflect all my outlook contacts like on my phone (950 xl) and yes I have had the sync turned on, off and then on again?<<<sucks having to find all the contacts I want to call then C&P the info in to skype preview to call them. getting there keep pushing to perfection and thnx!

Platform: Mobile

Logic behind this preview app is ZERO

1. Contact syncing is still bad as usual 2. Calls hang up instantly 3. U cannot delete conversation history 4. How come this app looks and acts different across phones? Lumia 535, 640 and 950. Interface and options all look different. 5. Adding new people result like family asks u to buy more skype credit when video and phone calls are claimed free. 6. Using a new account makes the app useless. U are restricted to the email address linked on your windows phone. 7. When u choose to make a video call, have the person that is receiving the call only see the video call button! Same for regular calls. 8. App doesnt open or crashes 9. Syncing is very slow 10. Updating conversation takes forever 11. Make it better. I understand its a preview, but from previous skype, seems nothing has changes except the UI. The use is still horrible.

The idea is good

The idea is good, but like other MS products, in the beginning it has very poor functionality. Basic drag & drop for files from my desktop to conversation is not handled. Another feature that I use often is CTRL+V for screenshots - which is missing here, also. On the Windows Phone the app works good, but still has some issues, like this one: in the conversation with some random people I see only my messages, but not his/her. It's annoying. Please, add missing features, and make it look like desktop version of skype, and it can replace the desktop version for ever.

Platform: Mobile

Skype Preview is a huge departure in functionality

Lacking the basic features like history or deleting empty conversations is unacceptable. Where did the messaging app integration go? Options and UI is limited and clunky.
