Great App, Simply and Flawless
The only slightly difficult part of this app applies to virtually every app; getting used to navigating it. Once one learns what does what, and it doesn't take long, it is fast and easy, at least the Windows 10 phone version is. I love it. Much better than the IRIS system I had. It was a bonus to find that it was compatible with my new HVAC system thermostats. I am very happy with this app.More
Getting slightly better
It doesn't detect my presence, I can't add or change any SmartApps. However, they did fix some other issues. What we really need is the ability to pin individual devices to the home screen so we can see their status and turn them on / off. There are some issues with some device status updates. I can't tell if it's the app or the service... Or the device itself. Sometimes their statuses get out of sync with reality. I bought this system because it supported Windows Phone / Mobile and other platforms. I guess using other people's iPhones will be the plan until I can get a real phone.More
Crashes and push notifications don't work
Great idea, helps keep my child safe but the app crashes constantly under windows 10 mobile and the push notifications do not work either, sms works fine but in order for this to be a usable app push notifications need to be fixed.More
So glad they support Windows 10 mobile!
App is mostly good, besides the occasional bug and crash. It could probably be made a little more intuitive or at least include a home button to get back to the dashboard after you do other things in the app. All-in all, just glad to have a mobile app on Windows 10. And hopefully they'll continue to update it with further optimizations.More
Yet to work properly.
This app would be great if it worked properly. Instead it rarely works. I can't see my "Things" and it's always timing out when making setting changes or changing modes. Bad app makes the overall system worthless.More
Live Streaming Not Working
Navigation in app is rather cumbersome and non-intuitive. Would be very useful if livestreaming worked (Using SmartCam HD Pro). Hope it gets fixed! Other sensors seem to work ok.More
Great start to Windows App
First, thank you Samsung for supporting Windows platform. I would not have purchased your ecosystem components without it. Second, this app was a great start until it stopped working for a stretch. I think it was related to overall system instability. Update 3/15/16: All of the issues I had leading up to and after the maintenance 1/22/2016 have finally subsided. The app is definitely snappier and even seems far more stable than before. The experience still isn't as smooth as Android, but it is still usable. SmartThings has gone on record saying they intend regular updates (monthly) but that size of teams doing the work are proportional to the ecosystem user base. Eagerly awaiting... In the meantime, HomeRemote is a great customizable companion (and I'd argue NECESSARY) app for every Windows 10 SmartThings owner.More
I have been using it for a few months, easy setup, the program worked just fine.More
No more crashing. No more hitting back three times to return to prior menu. I can set icons, manage settings without crashes. Thanks guys, great work!More
Desperately needs an update...
So close. Unfortunately there's no text labels on any of the "things" so finding what you want to trigger can be very cumbersome. Wife's Android app is near perfect. Need some of that to port over.More
