Before buy it, see the reviews of the whole internet

This is the worst game I ever played, that's because basically about the controls and the visual stuff itself, don't spend money in this... Go in the store and buy Sonic CD right now if you don't have yet, it's more worth

The game was alright, but it could have been so much better. Especially the graphics, as they aren't the HD ones, but this really bad low resolution models and all. But gameplay is fair.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is a game that I honestly cannot recommend to anyone on anything other than a console. This game suffers frustrating and unresponsive controls throughout all of the stages, not helping that Sonic has a painfully slow start up speed, which in other Sonic games would not be an issue, but is an issue here. The physics are bizarre and have no rhyme or rhythm, allowing Sonic to partially stand on the steep side of a hill or do some other bizarre situations. The game also seems to suffer from screen crunch which will mean that enemies can blindside you at random intervals as you're running at high speeds. The only way to effectively avoid this would be to know where the enemies are before hand but that would either require the player to already play through the game and remember each enemy location. The audio also likes to randomly blurt in with an obnoxious and immersion breaking audio hiccup. Lastly the special stages just have the worst tilt controls I have ever used

Solid offering and stable, this would be rated higher if Sega would follow through with support like they claimed they would but failed to do so. They can provide various different free versions for Android and iOS but not even a Episode 2 for WP or Win 8 after their promise of integration with Xbox Live.

Decent Sonic game, but it falls short on graphics and the physics feel off. The way sonic jumps doesn't feel proper.

I am a diehard Sonic fan since youth so I was happy to see this game on Windows Phone. However, while it's nostalgic to play, unfortunately the controls are not as good as they need to be. There is no way to smoothly jump diagonally, which affects the enjoyment of the game as you often have to stop and re-attempt what should be easy jumps. Likewise, some of the level designs, coupled with this control problem, lead to cheap deaths and a game that is, overall, not as fun as it should be. That said, I still want them to bring over Episode 2 and I hope they fix the controls for it. Come on Sega!

It's hard to see enemies on ground, and the game has bad graphics, but it controls very well, and is more fun than the console version. Also if you go a little while without moving, Sonic pulls out a cell phone.
