great way to relax
after a long day at work this is a nice way to relaxMore
Like this game!
Win 72% of time on Hard setting, standard rules. Would be nice to be able to choose a harder game other than suicide, but good variety of situations and enjoyable!More
Advanced players will not enjoy the game
It has a good user interface, and I can tolerate playing it for awhile. However, there are serious issues in card selection by the computer players. Your opponent does not know how to protect you when you bid nil. Also, the opposing players do not know how to play against a nil bid. There are other issues related to card choice, such as leading a king at the wrong time. Based on reviews of other free spades games, I suspect all the app developers use the same software for playing choices and just create their own user interface. Ironically Windows XP came with a better spades game.More
This reminds me of when I played years ago. The only down side is you can't switch partners once in a while.More
Like - It's kind of fun and makes me feel like I'm really good. Dislike - I've won 9 out of 12 games. I know I'm not that good, but the other players seem clueless. Like taking needless bags or not trying to set or cover (in the case of your partner) a nil. This is all with the option set on Hard. I'd hate to see what easy is likeMore
SO ADDICTIVE! I LOVE IT!More
Bots play ok, other issues need improvement
Pretty good gameplay, needs improvement. Pet peeves: 1. Score not always visible. Sometimes when clicking thru game, realize I should check score to see how I should bid, but not possible once I've clicked 'show cards'. 2. No ability to mute sound. Huge annoyance. Sometimes I go back and forth between content I need sound with and this game. The TADA! sound is just too loud at certain times, so have to remember to mute global volume on last hand, then unmute for running apps that I need sound. 3. On a laptop, sometimes I accidentally double click the 'show cards' button and end up clicking a 9-12 bid. 4. Not a big fan of being pestered to 'send some love'. Hope now that I have, that will go away. A discreet button somewhere on the game board that invites the user to leave feedback rather than a modal dialog than one has to click off would be better. Pretty good game, but definitely needs tweaking/improvement. I'm a c#/windows developer, so willing to help with code if u'd like.More
It would be much better is I could pick my partner. I enjoy playing but if you had a group of players to pick from it would make the game more challenging. The player do not know how to play a nil. Why do your partner lead a low card when you are bidding a nil. Also, why do they play the king when the ace hasn't been played. My partner doesn't bid their hand with enough points, bidding a 1 when they have 4 possible winning cards. Like the game but they need to make some corrections. Also, allow you to select players that can play better. It seem like I'm playing for two in order to win.More
"Easy" is the "Hard"
Played three games on "Easy" and lost because my CPU partner was clueless. One game on "Hard" and won by 400 points because partner was on point. Very addicting. Love the game.More
