Description

Steps is a Lumia SensorCore SDK sample application demonstrating the usage of Step Counter API. This application shows the user's walking and running step counts, and a graph of user’s cumulative steps, during the current day, and up to 7 days in the past. Steps sample also includes a background task component that is triggered to update the live tile with user’s step count meter for the current day (i.e. today) once the user has moved at least 5 steps and at least 10 minutes have elapsed since the last step counter trigger. Application works only on Lumia phones that support SensorCore / “Motion data” collection. Currently supported phones are Lumia 630, Lumia 635, Lumia 730, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930, Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon, running on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan or Denim firmware. This app is intended as a preview for developers. Feedback is welcomed via https://github.com/Microsoft/steps

Simple yet amazing

It's amazing that a demo sample app does a great job. Simple and easy if you want to just track your steps every day!

Crazy a demo that rocks

How has no one come close to creating an app as good as this demo???? I don't want to share my data on line, just record my steps during the day. It does what it says, nothing more nothing less, but oh so smoothly and effortlessly. Uses a fraction of the power of other apps. Magic PS. To other users if you want the graph scale to change just tap the number. It will update to the new max. Previous days swipe left.

Simple step counter with live tile support. Exactly what I was looking for. Kinda sad that a sample app is better than the stuff that's out there today but, whatever.

Not working in WP 10

Before upgrade (WP8.1) to WP10, this app worked well. After upgrading it displays incompatible message.

Very limited. Can show in the graphic only <=5000 steps. At least you can see the number of steps since Microsoft vanished with Health app.

Too bad the Health app isn't this good.

The health and fitness app rocked. This app rocks. Microsoft's Health app SUCKS. In fact, the Health app doesn't even work anymore. It just says "oops...". I sure wish Microsoft cared about Windows Mobile again.
