not bad

To me its like a casual nwn type game. I Feel the port is lacking . It plays ok but it is the load times and just how many led to my unistall

Platform: Xbox

Fun, but a bit unpolished

Lots of races and subraces to choose from, as well, a nice selection of player classes. Campain has many lush environments and quests(and 4 player support), and DM mode is intresting BUT its 5 or so cave types to play on (and a castle) and gets a bit stale visually. Otherwise, super solid for the price.

Sword Coast Lag-ends

Don't expect this to be another Baldur's Gate. It plays more like the board game. PROS: Decent story. Good characters. Creating a character is fun. Controls are complicated but offer a lot of options. Dungeons are complex. Variety of enemies. CONS: Longest loading screens I've ever seen. Graphics look like it was meant to be on 360. Constant loading between areas ruins immersion. Lag. Overall an OK game, but don't bother buying if you can't stand loading screens or lag.

Great Game but...

DM mode is missing detailing. I wish there was climbing and jumping.A few races should be made available (like half-orc, dragonborn, orc,). Possibly make it so DM can premake dungeons and save them for future edit and use. (load screens are alway anoying but thats not that big of a deal if the playing part is worth it). in the trailer i saw you were able to equip the enemy with different weapons but i couldnt in game.. the player charactor costumization is pretty detailed (could use more abilities and feats).

Old school RPG! Hope they add future DLC ..... AFTER they fix the load times in between "worlds"! It literally takes almost FIVE minutes just to boot or re-boot the game! Otherwise similar to Baldur's Gate, Diablo, Dragon Age, etc.

A fun D&D game...with a few flaws.

Story is great. Companions are well written. Rage of Demons expansion is beautiful. Load times are awful. DM mode is lacking. Lack of overall game support due to company closing. Skills/spells hit or miss within skill tree format. 5th edition rules followed...mostly with some minor quibbles. Game is generally fun, good D&D rpg experience with lots of lore. Sad to see no further development.

A Great Top Down RPG: Muttled by terrible performace

A fun and entertaining D&D inspired RPG that unforunately was not optimized well for Xbox One. Load times are long and grueling, up to 5 minutes per map. Even loading the game up you must see 10 minutes of loading before you get to a game mode. The game will suffer framerate drops and pop in throughout the campaign. IF you can suffer through this, the game is quite enjoyable. It has two story modules, a dungeon mode, and a Dungeon Master mode. Character creation is decent and combat is reminiscent of Dragon Age: Origins.
