How to share (link of) a video with others? How to open a TED video link in the app? And some other hows...More
Love IT !!!!
TED talks are awesome and this app makes it so easy to watch them I highly recommend the app as well as the talks to everyone I meet especially at school.More
Transcript & resolution
1. Transcript is an amazing tool to teach non-native English speakers, help deaf people, help student to learn reading faster.. 2. I would comment a frown about video resolution, it should be watched using multiple resolutions, specially for countries with slow internet services. :)More
The world's brightest... inactive title bar
This is a rating for the app, not the content. :-) This is a nice Windows 10 app design, in line with designs on other OSes. However I don't understand what possessed the developers to choose the brightest red color for the _inactive_ title bar. Taken in isolation, this may seem like a bright idea. But when I work with multiple windows on a large screen, while listening to TED in background, the obnoxious bright red bar messes with other windows that I work with. It also distracts from the actual video, when I want to take a look at it. Please try to use the standard windows colors. It's the videos that need to shine (and deservedly so), not the bright red chrome.More
Great app... But
I love the interface and the content on the app... There is a problem however, the download button flashes on screen for a moment and then disappears all together. It would be great if this was fixed.More
Perfect with one minor feature missing
If you can add the ability to change the resolution manually like you can do on YouTube, it would make this app perfect. Adding 'f' as a toggle between fullscreen and windowed video would also be great. Other people are facing sync issues but I haven't so far. Please try to fix it so this can be a widely appreciated app.More
You have created a great app, thank you! It would be nice if you could update it more often and make it like the version of Android.More
Masterfully crafted app. I learn something new everyday
[UPDATE] I found a bug within the app. I think the devs should take a look: If I click on an ad within the app, it takes me to the ad's webpage *within* the TED app instead of opening a new window in Microsoft's Edge browser. The ads have nothing to do with TED and yet I can go to their websites while in the TED app. This is something that needs fixing. I'm delighted to say that the TED app is beautifully designed. And usually I'm the one that says most apps suck. But not with this one; I love everything about it. If I had to give some constructive feedback, I would say that the splash screen (the one with the red text on white background while the app loads) text is far too large. I'd say look at the Microsoft 1st party apps as examples of the right way to do it. The icon should be way smaller than it is. Also, I'd love subtitles overlayed on videos. Thanks for this app, TED!More
