Needs work

Can't resize your pic. Even after closing the app I get file sharing problem when I try to resize the pic. Unusable.

If you only want to make tiles that are linked to websites, go for it. If you want tiles to go anywhere else, this isn't the app.

No win10 support

Though it's certainly promising, a robust yet simple custom tile creator, the devs seem to have abandoned it long ago. It lacks support for large tiles and scrolling images, which is certainly a turn-off.

Create custom tiles for web pages

I needed a way to create some custom tiles for web pages. Don't know why neither Windows 10 nor Edge let me do that, but Tile Genie fit the bill.

A great app for decorating start menu, need to have a zoom in / out function for picture editing.

I was really excited about this app. It did exactly what I needed to do by letting me add any picture I wanted to a tile linked to my work websites..but then I realized it opens the tile genie app every time you click on your tiles. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying. Would've been perfect if it didn't do that! I know this isn't their fault..BOO on Windows' part!!

Okay but...

This is the best app for pinning images on start screen, but sadly the devs are either dead or they've abandoned it without proper Win10 support, no large tile, no image cycling, its sad actually

At least it can launch steam games.

I wish it was able to run normal programs from the file path, but as steam uses a type of URL for its shortcuts, you can copy that into Tile Genie and launch games from there. This includes any games or programs loaded into steam as a non steam game.
