This a fantastic app for getting off the couch. It's flexible - you can start anywhere. It's also versatile - I actually use it to alternate skipping and jogging on the spot instead of walking and jogging on the road. Design is clean and simple. Bottom line: Recommended.

A great intro training program

It is very easy to use and the audible cues are hard to miss with headphones. The graduated ramp up of run lengths makes it nearly impossible to fail. Thanks!

I live that it works with my music app and tracks my mileage. I wish it would run in the background so I can use narrator to handle my text messages.

Great app overall, easy to use, and good for beginning runners.

Would really like to love this app. It's the only one like it. BUT- I can't trust the voice cues. Even though I have selected the option to pause the music for the voice cues to break through, it never does. The voice is very soft and hard to hear. Half the time the cue isn't even given. I have run app with and without music, so know I'm not just missing a cue due to loud music. Today was first workout in week two and the workout kept repeating intervals. It told me I was 'halfway' twice! And then three minutes into cool down it tells me to 'run'. I want to be able to start the workout, put my phone away and focus on my running technique, not keep checking the app to make sure it is running. :(

It's great. A simple way to keep track of pacing and progress. The audio cues could be a little louder. It'd be nice to also have a pacing stat per mile or half mile instead of overall workout day, but that's just a little nitpick of mine.

Great but needs some tweeks

Love that there is a couch to 5k app. There are a few things that need adjusted. 1st off going from 15min total interval run to a full 20min run in the same week is a bit tough even for a person that has done a lot of interval running. Having a slightly more gradual and steady paced program would benefit this app greatly. In addition a separate volume control for the app would be great and being able to have it run in the background would be great other then those things this app is great and does what I need it to do. One extra bonus would be if it tracked your distance. Thank you for this app I am now running 30min three times a week

Please fix the music pause in Windows 10

It worked great on windows phone 8.1, but it doesn't pause music now that I upgraded my phone to windows 10. Also, it doesn't pause Deezer or spotify, on wp8.1 and windows 10. If these small issues were resolved I would gladly buy the ad free version. Until then, no.

Almost Great

Just finishing up my 3rd week and this app has truly helped me get from my couch to at least 3k so far. Ran when I was younger but had a hard time picking it back up, due to shin splints. Bur this app really coached me so that I didn't push to hard starting off and my body is definitely adapting. Look forward to each session and finishing the program. Thank you! *update* Would love for the app to be updated for WP10 so things like pausing music and running in background worked correctly.

This is great! My favorite thing about the app is that it has great timing. As soon as I really feel like I couldn't run another step it says to walk and just as soon as I've caught my breath and regained my confidence that I can do it again it switches me back to running. 30 minutes sounded like a lot for a beginner like me but it's not to much at all, it's the perfect amount. Just keep you're head up and breathe as deliberately and deeply as you can. And stretch a bit before and after :)
