"Ultraviolet Dawn" is a hybrid space-shooter/trading game with a completely open Universe comprising over 1,000 stars to explore. It is our most beautiful and refined game to date. There is no single predefined way to play - everything is entirely up to you. You chose what you want to be and how you want to play. You can be a peaceful merchant, shuttling goods between stars. You can be an outlaw, attacking innocent ships and capturing their cargo. You can be a smuggler, trading in illegal goods banned by the the Intergalactic Federation. You can even run missions, both legal and illegal. There is so much to the game. Not only can you upgrade your ships weapons, but you can also upgrade equipment, such as adding more powerful engines or faster regenerating shields. You can even trade your ship in and fly something else entirely, whether a captured pirate ship or a large, bulky cargo carrier.More

Simple graphics can be played on any machine, and fun to play, everything is upgradable. I have it on my other devices, its a great time waster.More
Not bad for $4
Yeah, it's got a few issues but nothing as bad as what's written above. The controls take a bit of getting used to and there's a few tweaks that would improve the game, notably new mission upgrade pack, better clarification of mining ops, and ability to tactically employ your wing men better. Also, prefer better NPC interaction. Overall, these shortfalls don't detract from the fun factor. If you're looking for a "shoot 'em up" with the ability to choose your path, this is for you.More
Really fun game! The frame rate kind of hiccups on my Surface but not too bad. I wish the backgrounds were also a little more varied, but those are minor complaints. The game play is pretty solid and upgrading your ship is a lot of fun!More

Fun and vast game
I like the game so far. I only wish for controller supportMore
The open universe and space combat make this a lot of fun. The menus are frustratingly slow on my Ativ Pro (and since you spend a lot of time in them, that's a big deal). A few performance tweaks will get this five stars from me.More
Great idea but execution problems hold it back.
The game looks like it has potential but as it is there are a number of problems. Menus are sluggish. Flight controls are poor, with thrust in any direction immediately cancelling out your inertia in other directions. Touch screen controls are worse, since you can't turn your ship without also thrusting in that direction so there's no way to strafe or even stop. Some instruction text overlaps and is unreadable. A much better 2D space game is SPAZ, but there's no ARM version of that game.More
