A strange experience....

Not really a 'game', more of a trippy, interactive Twin Peaks graphic novel. I liked it, but didn't love it. There is no fighting or puzzle solving, just story walkthrough. Lack of dialogue worked well for the telling of the tale, I always knew what was going on and what to do. It was a very different and strange experience. Enjoyable, though the movement gave me terrible headaches and I had to stop frequently.

If David Lynch & Thomas Harris had a love-child...

...this game would be it. This game is WEIRD, and I mean that in a very good way. The main story is set up as an FBI investigation involving a missing teenager...yet becomes more of a phsycological head-trip through the mind of the protagonist. The story is told mostly through atmosphere & visuals, as there is no dialogue in the game(even though there is an option for subtitles in the settings menu...???). The musical score is vey chilling & sometimes intense, adding greatly to the mood & tone of the game's story. The cinematic style & editing(along with the score) remind me of the crime thrillers of the late 80's to mid 90' kinda made me think of movies such as Silence of The Lambs & Twin Peaks. While the game will definitly NOT be for ALL gamers, I do believe it is a must play for those who enjoy original & creative experiences and also enjoy playing games that mess with your psyche... (:•.•:)

What's the point?

The concept of a cinematic game is intriguing, but it requires an engaging, well written story. Unfortunately, the lack of dialog makes the entire endeavor a boring, perplexing, exercise.

Interesting Game

The game is different. Alot of the elements that make the game unique. I'm a fan of cop games and this one is one of the better ones I have played. The only con is there is no dialogue, so you really need to focus to understand it. I'd recomment it if you like story based games.

Great Idea but...

Follow up. I felt as the game played itself. Voice acting and more time with characters could make them more likable. The ending should have been a shocker, but I was too confused due to choppy sequences, my head was bursting in the end. Nightmares were perfect. I can see "Haunted house' games benefiting from this. If the game plays itself, some jump scares could make out for a fun ride. Tons of potential for this great idea, just not an attention grabber for me.

What a trip!

Few games completely confound while they entertain. This one does both with the best of them. A little on the short side until you realize how much you likely missed; Virginia doesn't disappoint.

Awesome walking simulator!

Loved the story. Not a bad game. I just wish there was a more of a game and less off a moving comic...

Pretty artistic feel with amazing music. Just not a good experience to me. It wasn't long enough and the odd scene jumps left me wanting a better explination.
