It gives me a more complete forecast with radar picture.

Are they serious?

Like 90% of these weather apps you can't get current temp or conditions to appear in the taskbar to glance at; under "settings" you get ONE choice: metric or standard/imperial; the app forces you to accept the wrong location as your "Home" and you cannot change it! Basically, the app does almost nothing and has no options for customization or user control. Unbelievable.

Removed previous version from laptop, installed this one - don't like that I can't scroll close to neighborhood on radar map, locations don't have identifying icons, can't personalize appearance, no pollen count or Spark . Do like the removal of pictures and video tiles, they were extraneous junk. We have this app on 2 phones, 1 tablet, a desktop and a laptop. Each one is different, even the on the Windows phone and windows computers, and the android phone and tablet. There needs to be better consistency between systems, and bring back Spark and pollen counts! I have yet to see the interactive maps work on any of our devices. This version has lost too much to rate more stars. Bring back the important and useful things and it will earn a better rating.

Has gone from bad to worse

Daily forecast view and hourly forecast view are always different. Daily shows 40% but hourly shows 0% rain all day. Emailed support and they claimed each is updated at different intervals. Checking throughout the day and no improvement. High Temp daily also different from hourly. Hourly seems to be more aligned with reality. Wrote to author; refuses to fix. Why not derive daily summaries from hourlies? DUH moment. I recommend disabling live tile updates to save battery. You can still get alerts without live tile enabled. Highly unpredictable and unstable. Hourly often just shows next 8 hours and stops updating. Clicking daily for say 2 or 3 days ahead does nothing now. A waste of time. Don't bother. Just go to AccuWeather on the web.

Amazing. It has very accurate weather data from weather stations at airports. My son goes to Civil Air Patrol at Craig Municipal Airport in Jackonsville, FL. So if I wanted to look for weather forecasts for that area, I just use this app. If you go to an airport often, then this is right app for you. Excellent app, just as GREAT as Wunderground.com and waaaaaaayyyy better than that piece of garbage called MSN Weather, I can't believe how people are still giving that rubbish 5 stars! And I'm tired of everyone calling this app inaccurate. Anyway, this is an amazing app, and I'm giving this 5 stars. I do however have a few suggestions, do think you could add weather radio, surf reports tropical weather alerts, a large live tile, and it would be better if you could add a maximum of 10 locations instead of 5. I think that those features a nice addition to your app. Thanks. And keep up the good work!

Something Lacking

The Metro-Style version of WeatherBug needs some serious work...for now, stick with the desktop version. The 'Notifications' don't seem to do anything; at least I've not seen one appear in over five month's of use. The selection of available notifications is slim. Notification quite times are not available. Severe weather alerts do not produce any audible notification. Radar pictures are often inaccurate (WeatherBug desktop shows rain/storms in the area; WeatherBug Metro shows nothing on radar at the same time.) Radar animations appear as a series of unrelated radar images, rather than a sequence showing the progression of a weather system. The appearance and style of the program are well done, but the data is poorly done.

Nice App, but windows 8 daily forecasts are broken

I use weatherbug on android and windows 8 (the app). In the win8 app, the content in the 10 day is wrong. Examples: hi/lo temps are wrong, precipitation icons are wrong. The data in the hourly forecasts is correct though. (I say "wrong" because the hourly data on my phone and win8 match and the 10 day data on my phone tracks the hourly data, but the 10 day on win8 does not match). Kind of ruins the forecast feature. The other features of the app. (Maps, notifications, etc.) are much better than the stock weather app in Windows 8. Please fix the data problem so I can update my overall rating...

Bad pressure

Its the best weather app for windows 8 out there right now, but its still not as good as half the android weather apps. It has some interface oddities that aren't a big deal. It shows more info than other weather apps. The only thing that really bothers me is that they correct the pressure for altitude. The pressure at my house is currently 24.9 In-Hg, but the 10 closest weather stations (within 10 miles) all read 30 In-Hg. I can understand having the pressure map (which is part of this program and is really neat) corrected for altitude (and labeled as such) but not the individual weather stations. It's like have temperature corrected for latitude. "It's sunny and 80°F in Anchorage, Alaska this January morning" corrected for latitude to the equator. Like a corrected pressure, this becomes totally useless. Of course that's a problem with weatherbug, and not with the app.

Not nearly as good as the app on Windows Phone.

I have used Weatherbug as a desktop widget and WP8 app and love it. The win 8 app is very inaccurate. I compare the info between this app and my WP8 app and the data in this app is all wrong. I see current temps that are way out of the current range of temps for the day. There is no detailed description of the daily weather. The app doesn't rotate when I rotate my Win 8 tablet. On a high resolution screen the everything is shifted up and left. It doesn't rescale for different resolution screens. The WeatherBug Win 8 is just a half as**ed effort. Too bad for a great system of collecting weather data.

I like it, nice live tile

Ttook off three stars because the lay out could be better and the live tile while nice with alternate background adding a little color to the start menu, for some reason doesn't show the same background as the full screen or relate at all to the weather. Raining right now the full screen shows a raining days BG image tile show a nice sunny field. Notifications don't work, set for rain it's raining no notification yet. Fix that, the image sync and tweak layout will make it a five star.
