Description

Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world - including Miles - at the beginning of Outlast. Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son thanks to strict security protocols, Waylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients. Identifying with those poor souls fueled Waylon's anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive's rotten core. Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum's story.

Awesome!

I think the game is well made done, it is scary the graphics are great. When DLC was out I hade to prepare myself before playing it. The thing I don't like about it is the big huge guy, he gave me nightmares from it. Red Barrels please make outllast 2 MORE SCARY.

EXCELLENT!

Although this game (rarely) has minor issues, such as collision and frames, overall, this game will blow your mind. While each different section is thrown at you, along with dozens of different and unique - not to mention terrifying - enemies to avoid being detected by, more and more plot is revealed through experiences / interactions with neutral characters, notes, and documents detailing reasons behind the chaos scattered throughout the horrific maze that this game is. This game also showcases a beautiful display of equality between horror and plot. You absolutely will not regret this purchase.

Love this game!

I have played through this game several times with different groups of company! Outlast makes me feel anxious and it gets my adrenaline rushing. Love the marriage of horror and science fiction. Compelling storyline and well paced survival horror gameplay. Creepy ambience and voice acting are strengths as well. I am excited for the next one!

Better Than The Original!

And by a longshot, too! Outlast: Whistleblower is far superior to the original Outlast in many ways, which isn't to say that Outlast isn't good, too. The story in Outlast: Whistleblower takes place before the events of Outlast, and the protagonist, Waylon Park sends Miles Upshur an Email, which begins to tie all the events between the two up. It has even more cutscenes than the original. Throughout Whistleblower, Waylon is taken through all manner of environments, some familiar, many new, and will met a few familiar faces as well. But it's the NEW villains that are really fun. I won't spoil anything, but Frank Manera, the cannibal, and Dennis, the disassociative identify disorder patient are my favorites. That isn't to say, however, that the twisted backstory between Waylon and one enemy encountered near the end isn't great, as well. My only complaint is that it isn't longer! I am about to play Outlast 2, which looks to dabble in the realm of CREATURES as opposed to just the insane!

Great graphics and very suspensful

I bought this game after finishing Outlast and this was just as good, if not scarier then the original Outlast. The graphics are great and its even better playing it on a big TV screen.
