Polar bears roam the Arctic sea ice throughout the winter and spring, searching for their main prey, seals. We can find polar bears in five northern countries: the U.S. (Alaska), Canada, Greenland, Norway, and Russia. All five countries have worked together for decades to research and conserve polar bears, sharing information about movements, genetics, diet, pollution, and more. Join us to learn more about some amazing polar bear research projects being done across the Arctic, and how polar bears in different regions are responding to their changing sea ice habitat in different ways.
