Going for gold
The Bauen Group, a Microsoft solutions provider focused on Azure cloud development, was ready to take their business to the next level. The company had recently won contracts with two Houston-area hospitals based on their healthcare analytics expertise and wanted to further differentiate their business by attaining a Gold Cloud Platform competency. However, they weren’t entirely sure where to start, so they signed up for the Cloud Enablement Desk.
“Having someone who knew exactly what the process was, and the people I needed to pull in, was so helpful, like having a Sherpa guide me,” says Walter Silin, founder and CEO of The Bauen Group.
The CED helped them find the right path and stay on track to complete the competency requirements in just a few months, which contributed to their Azure practice to increase from $20k to over $100k in Azure consumption.
Onboarding to marketplace
The Bauen Group also wanted to increase their growth opportunity by getting their solution published to the AppSource marketplace.
One of the challenges the CED helped The Bauen Group overcome was navigating the requirements to get their solution listed on Microsoft AppSource, the online marketplace business customers use to find, try, buy and deploy leading cloud apps for their industry. Once onboarded, partners can also access Marketplace Rewards.
“The CED put us in touch with a marketplace specialist and together, we figured out the right way to get our solution added to AppSource to reach more customers. That wasn’t something we’d be able to do by just reading information on a website,” according to Silin.
The Bauen Group’s healthcare dashboard, DSRIP Dashboard, is now available on AppSource, which will help the company increase reach, discoverability, and usage of their new solution.
Preparing to co-sell
The Bauen Group now plans to work with the CED to become co-sell ready and make the most out of their partnership with Microsoft.
