Azure Health Bot & partners help enhance healthcare

By Hadas Bitran

The healthcare industry has become front and center of our national and global conversion over the past year and half. Healthcare organizations already struggling with chronically outdated digital infrastructure are experiencing even greater strain as systems need to adapt quickly in response to changing regulatory, reporting, patient, and employee needs.

Microsoft and our partners have been collaborating with frontline healthcare organizations since day one, working to ease technical bottlenecks and relieve essential workers for other tasks. One example of such collaboration is Finland’s largest healthcare provider, HUS, who channeled the expertise of Azure Health Bot partners TietoEvry and Innofactor to create an end-to-end test, track, and trace system to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The Azure Health Bot shows how partner innovation leads to powerful outcomes for our healthcare customers, and Azure Health Bot partners can leverage this program and their direct contact to the product group in order to step into this high-demand solution area with confidence and precision, while collaborating closely with Microsoft on such innovative solutions. Azure Health Bot empowers healthcare organizations with enhanced medical intelligence

With the Azure Health Bot, partners empower healthcare organizations to build and deploy an AI-powered, compliant, and conversational healthcare experience at scale. The service combines built-in medical intelligence with natural language capabilities, extensibility tools, and compliance constructs, allowing healthcare organizations such as providers, payers, pharma, HMOs, and telehealth to give people access to trusted and relevant healthcare services and information.

In the past year, the Azure Health Bot has migrated from a marketplace offering to a native Azure service, benefitting from Azure’s security investments as well as the most comprehensive compliance coverage of any cloud service provider.

There have been several enhancements recently to the Azure Health Bot’s built-in medical intelligence:

  • Choose your triage protocol provider – An additional triage and symptom checking protocol allows our customers to choose their triage protocol provider.
  • Greater global accesses to self-assessment – Our symptom checker capability now supports several different languages, allowing users from all over their world to self-assess their symptoms.
  • Enhanced clinical content – A new template category for Patient Reported Outcomes facilitates self-reporting of patient daily functioning and health outcomes metrics.
