How Hotpatching on Windows Server is changing the game for Xbox
Learn how Microsoft has been using Hotpatch with Windows Server 2022 Azure Edition to substantially reduce downtime for SQL Server databases.
It’s been a busy few weeks for us. We’ve been out here in Asia-Pacific bringing the buzz of Windows Server “Longhorn” to the folks at TechEd New Zealand, TechEd Australia, TechEd Japan and just this week, TechEd South-East Asia. Literally thousands of people crammed into our sessions to hear about all the cool stuff in the product. The press have also been giving us some nice coverage, including this TechWorld report.
We also had a prime spot in the keynote of TechEd SEA here in Kuala Lumpur where there were audible “ooh”s and “aah”s from the attendees as we demonstrated ongoing policy compliance checking and automatic remediation in Network Access Protection. And that was a great way to key up our announcement on Wednesday about the new joint architecture we’ve built to promote interoperability between NAP and Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC).
It’s been a great trip, but it’s a 24-hour journey back to Redmond tomorrow… I just hope there are no snakes on the plane.
