BPA can help administrators reduce best practice violations by scanning one or more roles that are installed on Windows Server 2008 R2, and reporting best practice violations to the administrator.&nbsp; Roles that support BPA scans in Windows Server 2008 R2 Beta include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> <span style=\"color: var(--c-text);font-size: 1rem\">Active Directory Certificate Services<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <span style=\"color: var(--c-text);font-size: 1rem\">Active Directory Domain Services<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <span style=\"color: var(--c-text);font-size: 1rem\">DNS Server<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <span style=\"color: var(--c-text);font-size: 1rem\">Web Server (IIS)<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <span style=\"color: var(--c-text);font-size: 1rem\">Remote Desktop Services<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When scans find aspects of a role that are not compliant with best practices, you can open the noncompliant scan results, read more about what\u2019s not compliant, and click links to open step-by-step guidance on the Web that helps you bring your role into compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The step-by-step guidance for resolving all available BPA rules is now available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/dd392255.aspx\">Windows Server 2008 R2 TechCenter<\/a>.
