Engineered Advisory deploys Springworks Trivia for Microsoft Teams to boost team building and employee engagement

Understanding the importance of employee engagement for remote workforces

A subsidiary of Engineered Advisory, Engineered Tax Services saw the benefits of remote/hybrid work environments and began the transition before the COVID-19 pandemic to help with retention rates. With employees spread across the United States, Engineered Advisory has long been focused on engagement and building bonds within its community. 

Engineered Tax Services had a few remote engagement activities in place, but its Cost Segregation department sought something more. It wanted an online app that would engage the team in new ways and address three key challenges: provide community engagement for a fully remote team, break silos and initiate conversations beyond work, and integrate with Microsoft Teams to help build strong connections in the Teams environment.

Furthermore, the Cost Segregation team wanted to ensure the mental well-being of its community by encouraging employees to take needed breaks from their fast-paced, high-stress work and have fun with their teammates. 

Springworks Trivia promotes team-building and a healthy work culture

Engineered Tax Services’ Cost Segregation team found the Trivia app on Microsoft AppSource and launched the 30-day all-inclusive trial. Created by Springworks, Trivia for Teams promotes virtual team-building through fun, memorable, and engaging games. 

The ease of participating in games and increased employee engagement meant Trivia was a good fit for the Cost Segregation team. The automated employee engagement solution includes multiple game formats and team-bonding features, and the fact it is integrated with Teams and is Microsoft 365-certified makes it an increasingly valuable tool. 

The scheduled games were an instant hit, and the quizzes enabled all members of the community to take micro-breaks and engage in activities while indulging in healthy competition with one another.

Since implementing Trivia, Engineered Tax Services’ Cost Segregation department has achieved an engagement index of 57 percent and sees an average 105 minutes of participation every week. Trivia’s fun social games contribute to a great work culture and ensure the team takes refreshing breaks from work and gets to know one another better.
