Nagarro powers HR operations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to gain efficiency

Need for a more cost-effective and customizable solution

As a fast-growing enterprise with increasingly complex business requirements, Nagarro realized that its Human Resource Information System (HRIS) needed an upgrade to be able to fulfill its expanding requirements. They wanted to simplify and speed up the process of adding new features or customizing.

To support its rapid growth, Nagarro needed an HRIS that ensured cost efficiency and faster integration of the acquired entities into the system. The existing system offered limited flexibility for managing master data and configuration data seamlessly. Also, the licensing model resulted in high operational costs, creating a substantial financial burden.

Nagarro began to evaluate potential alternatives for its human resource (HR) operations. The company was well-versed with Microsoft products and services. Knowing that Microsoft Dynamics 365's licensing structure could be tailored to its requirements, it sought to optimize costs. Nagarro was looking for a solution that could be efficiently configured and customized to fulfill its business requirements. Another critical requirement was the ease of use and administration and the ability to scale.

After a comprehensive evaluation, Nagarro chose to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources. The solution was deployed in five months. Its intuitive user interface and detailed training manuals facilitated a smooth transition.

Transforming HR for more efficiency at lower costs

The customizable and configurable Human Resources solution has optimized employee lifecycle-management processes, such as onboarding, promotions, deputation, global transfers, offboarding, and long-leave management for Nagarro and its 50+ subsidiary companies. It has resulted in the implementation of a data migration framework to migrate master data from the existing system to Dynamics 365. It is also integrated with the Enterprise Data Lake for improved and insightful reporting and analytics. Additionally, the solution allows Nagarro to tailor roles for geographic locations and specific processes.

Seamless onboarding of employees:

The employee onboarding process at Nagarro has become more efficient. The solution makes it possible to create requisite positions automatically and onboard 500 employees in 20 minutes or less.

More efficiency using fewer resources:

The data-driven and people-centric solution has reduced the time required for HR processes. For instance, the time to prepare onboarding templates has been reduced to one day, compared to three days earlier. The HR team can complete the integration of a newly acquired subsidiary 60% faster compared to the older application. With a completely automated process that eliminates unnecessary email exchanges, the offboarding process can now be completed in two weeks, compared to three months in the older system. It allows the HR team to carry out bulk updates quickly for various processes and provides ease of administration. It is GDPR-compliant and scales seamlessly across operations, departments, and geographies.

Reduced operational costs:

Microsoft’s unique licensing model has enabled Nagarro to run HR processes using 200 licenses instead of the 18,000 licenses required with the earlier solution, reducing costs significantly.
