Scareware blocker is not a cloud based large language model (LLM) but is instead a local model running on the computer. So, this means that users (and enterprises!) do not need to worry about privacy concerns from the model.

- Scareware blocker will not be turned on by default for Edge users on devices with 2 GB of RAM or fewer than 5 cores. Users with these internal device specifications, can turn on scareware blocker by visiting Edge Settings ellipses icon > Privacy, search, and services > Security and toggling Scareware blocker on.
- Scareware blocker is not supported on devices with less than 1 GB of RAM or fewer than 2 cores. The option to turn scareware blocker on will also not appear in the Edge settings portal.
