How it Works

Enrollment

The Microsoft Imagine Academy Program (MSIA) is available to all Microsoft EES (Enrollment for Education Solutions), School, and OVS-ES (Open Value Subscription – Education Enrollment subscriptions) volume license agreements as a program skills benefit at no additional cost for those that meet the Qualified Educational User requirements for specific regions, as defined on the Microsoft Licensing webpage.

Access

Upon signing a new Academic Volume License Agreement or renewal, a welcome email is sent to the person listed as the Primary Contact. The email will come from itaemail@microsoft.com with the subject line: Microsoft Approval Email: Microsoft IT Academy Program. This email contains login details which include the MSIA Member ID and Program Key that unlock access to the MSIA Member Site - the portal to all program benefits.

Enable Access for Educators

The Academic Volume License Agreement Primary Contact will need to share the MSIA Member ID and Program Key or welcome email with educators and staff covered under the agreement to enable access to the MSIA Member Site. Visit the Educator First Steps page for instructions on getting started now. Once educators and staff login for the first time, they can begin taking advantage of the resources immediately.

The same MSIA Member ID and Program Key will be shared by all educators and staff covered under the Academic Volume License Agreement, however, they should not be shared with students. Educators will need to download the curriculum from the MSIA Member Site, then make the content available to students through Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, an existing LMS, or other secure location.

Not sure if your institution has an Academic Volume License (VL) agreement?

Reach out to your IT or Purchasing Department to determine who manages your Microsoft licensing agreements. This Primary Contact will be able to verify the VL Agreement and would be the one to receive the MSIA Welcome email with the login information.
