  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Windows Vista Business Edition, or Windows Vista Ultimate Edition or higher; Windows Server 2003; or Windows Server 2008.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition, Visual Studio 2008 Enterprise Edition, or Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition. For some scenarios, Visual Studio 2005 was used because products such as the Portal Development Kit for Microsoft .NET didn’t support Visual Studio 2008 when the book was written.
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and the BizTalk Server Adapter Pack.

    Steve Fox has 15 years of IT industry experience, including 10 at Microsoft working with search technology, natural language, developer tools, and Microsoft Office and SharePoint development.

    Scott Adams is a Microsoft BI and performance management specialist, and a recognized expert in delivering SAP solutions. He also spent five years with a SAP company in senior engineering-management roles.

    Thomas Reimer is a regional business development manager on the Microsoft EMEA SAP Alliance Team. He formerly managed a consulting team focused on Microsoft and SAP technologies at a European systems integrator.
