Microsoft 365 powered device

The best way to experience Microsoft 365: by running modern devices with the most up-to-date versions of Windows 10 Enterprise and Office 365 Pro Plus, securely managed by Enterprise Mobility Suite. So customer staff are empowered with the productivity tools they need to get the job done. And their IT teams can take advantage of the cloud to simplify and to reduce costs.

Intelligent security, built-in

Security: the foundation of Microsoft 365 powered device.

  • Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection: provide the latest protection from advanced cyberthreats through the combination of OS built-in detection and cloud-based service.

  • Azure Active Directory + Conditional Access + Information Protection: enable IT pros to secure user identity and define level of application and data access by providing policy options to further harden the platform.

  • Microsoft Intelligent Security Graph: Microsoft analyzes an unparalleled collection of security signals (detected threats) from vast sources to strengthen the security in our products and services. These cyber insights are powered by machine learning and human intelligence.

Easy to deploy and manage

Implement a user self-service approach that can elevate experience as it decreases time and costs.

  • Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune: provide identity, security, and device management directly in the cloud.

  • Windows AutoPilot: take a user self-service approach to provision and deploy devices—without the need to create and test OS images.

  • Microsoft FastTrack: help support and speed customer adoption of Microsoft 365 cloud services through data migration and device-management guidance.

Always up to date

One of the most important characteristics of modern IT: to keep user systems up to date helping to ensure security and reliability, and to uplift user productivity.

  • Semi-annual update model/cadence: integrate Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus semi-annual updates more easily into customer planning and deployment schedules. Take advantage of new features, with full management and control.

  • Deployment rings approach: manage updates in an incremental manner: preview/pilot/deployment.

  • Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory: use these tools to help manage update deployment.

Proactive insights

To successfully manage devices, gain deep insights to help diagnose and address issues.

  • Windows Analytics: leverage a collection of insights to help proactively identify and remediate health concerns before they impact users, and assure that upgrades and updates are deployed smoothly across an organization.

  • Upgrade readiness: verify applications, drivers, and more prior to Windows upgrade deployment.

  • Update compliance*: gain insights into the progress of applying updates; also gain the ability to identify devices having update issues.

  • Device health*: garner insights into the state of a device’s health, with the ability to identify potential incompatibilities in apps and drivers that reduce individual user productivity.

Partner opportunity

A recent Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact Study’s (commissioned by Microsoft) projection of partner revenue by category shows that growth for Microsoft 365 will be fueled by managed services. The Forrester study also indicates that the growth of gross margins (recurring) for managed services will rapidly eclipse traditional professional services in the next several years.

By building a Microsoft 365 powered device practice, you create the potential to sustain and boost your revenue streams in the long term. Making it an ideal platform and opportunity for you to move from deployment expert to managed services delivery organization.

Forrester Consulting expectations for Microsoft 365-related services:

  • Short-term (2-3 years) growth of partner-provided deployment professional services, followed by decline
  • Recurring managed services steady and exponential growth

Make the move from traditional, project-based services to modern managed services.

  • Build recurring managed services around the aligned, semi-annual update model.
  • Use the deployment rings approach to deploy new updates incrementally.
  • Use Windows Analytics to verify application and driver compatibility.
