The 2018 Celebrity Forum is a collaborative event hosted by Taipei Youth Salon and Microsoft Taiwan. The purpose is to enhance students’ willingness to find an internship and clarify their confusion about career.
College students don’t have enough motivation to find an internship in Taiwan because they don’t know what can they learn or what can they gain from internship.
Through the sharing of three speakers, who shared about their career and their reflection of life, students can think more diverse when they considering their career.
Who Joined Our Campaign
- total number of registration: 1,205 people
- 698 college students enrolled in our campaign.
- More than 50% are junior and senior students, come from diversity departments, including literature, business administration, information management, etc., showing that students all feel confused about their career, no matter what department they major in.
Microsoft Intern Dedication
- Current interns organized the whole event with great enthusiasm and patience.
They really know what the students worry about so they can share what they learn from internship with their own experiences.
- More than 30 interns participated in this event, they shared their differences after being an intern.

We invited speakers to share their career and their reflection of life.
-Olive Ting said, “Keep curiosity and courage to try different kinds of internships or work. In the process of self-exploration, you will be more aware of your direction.”
-Ken Sun said,” Journey is a reward. There are a lot of factors in climbing, it doesn’t mean failure if you don’t climb on the top. The entire process is the biggest reward.”
-Ping-Cheng Yeh said, “No matter how you like it, there are still something bad in the process.
Learning to tolerance the things you don't like.”

Straegy of Internship Union
To help students know the workplace through internships, TYS(Taipei Youth Salon) cooperate with nine companies (including Microsoft Taiwan) promoting the “ Strategy of Internship Union”.
If you are accepted as an intern, you will be able to obtain some training which provided by company, such as Office, Fin-tech, Design-thinking, and marketing. It’s possible to have a chance of job interview after finishing the internship.
