X410 is an X Window server for Windows 10. When you want to use X Window GUI apps on remote servers, simply run X410 and connect to your server via SSH with X11 forwarding. Once connected, just launch your GUI app from the command prompt; it'll pop up and ready for you on Windows 10! X410 also works with your locally installed virtual machines and WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) as well as Docker containers. // USAGE TIPS & NOTES - While X410 is in desktop mode, you can maximize or restore the X410 window by pressing CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE. - Running X410 on HiDPI/4K Screens https://x410.dev/cookbook/running-x410-on-hidpi-screens/ - Creating a shortcut for directly opening WSL GUI desktop https://x410.dev/cookbook/wsl/creating-shortcut-for-wsl-gui-desktop/ - Booting Hyper-V Ubuntu desktop onto X410 via VSOCK; No need for TCP/IP network or firewall permissions! https://x410.dev/cookbook/hyperv/using-x410-with-hyper-v-linux-virtual-machines-via-vsock/ - Sharing Windows fonts with WSL https://x410.dev/cookbook/wsl/sharing-windows-fonts-with-wsl/ - Opening a genuine Linux terminal emulator (WSL) directly from Windows File Explorer https://x410.dev/cookbook/wsl/opening-linux-terminal-directly-from-file-explorer/ - WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) doesn't officially support X Window GUI apps. Hence you may see far more warning messages or unable to run some X Window GUI apps from WSL.
Bu sürümdeki yenilikler
[NEW] You can now snap Linux GUI app windows just like Windows apps! [NEW] X410 now adds drop shadow to Linux GUI app windows in Windowed Apps mode when a Linux GUI app has input focus but doesn't have a standard Windows title bar (ex. Tilix). [NEW] Keyboard shortcuts or menus for changing input focus to another window should now work as expected (ex. CTRL+ALT+] in IntelliJ IDEA). [NEW] Fixed intermittently showing corrupted window content while resizing Linux GUI apps in Windowed Apps mode - Auto start option for X410 is now available in the Startup tab of Windows Task Manager. - Just like plain text, you can now also share images (BMP/PNG) and HTML text between Windows and Linux GUI apps via clipboard. - X410 now accepts a command-line argument (:displaynumber) for designating a display number. You can concurrently run X410 for each display number and maintain separate settings. For example, if you want to start X410 for display number 1, you can do "x410.exe :1" from PowerShell or Windows Command Prompt. - X410 can now be used with Hyper-V Linux virtual machines for opening their GUI desktop via VSOCK (https://x410.dev/cookbook/hyperv/using-x410-with-hyper-v-linux-virtual-machines-via-vsock/).
