Microsoft’s Cloud OS vision is to deliver a consistent datacenter platform and set of experiences regardless of deployment location. This means that customers can choose to run their business from their own datacenter, in Windows Azure, or in a hosted datacenter and will benefit from common technologies and similar experiences across these environments. Windows Server 2012 and System Center 2012 are the foundation of this Cloud OS vision in private and hosted datacenters and now service providers are able to be a primary part of this new ecosystem. Microsoft is also taking new services developed in Windows Azure and bringing them to Windows Server-based environments allowing hosting service providers the ability to offer these great experiences to their customers.

Watch video demo on how the Cloud OS vision delivers consistent experiences for Hosting Service Providers.

Windows Server
Windows Server 2012 was designed with hosting service providers in mind and is the new foundation for cloud computing. The notion of virtualization is pervasive throughout the release providing the ability to scale VMs to the largest levels in the industry with the new version of Hyper-V, while virtualizing networking and storage to reduce complexity and cost associated with traditional technologies such as VLANs and SANs.

System Center
With the ability to easily create and deploy cloud capacity on top of virtualized resources, you can now better optimize your asset utilization while also benefitting from a comprehensive management tool. And now with Service Pack 1, hosting service providers will find this powerful solution even more extensible with the addition of an API layer called the Service Provider Foundation (SPF).

Download the System Center 2012 SP1 and install and configure SPF per the deployment guide.
Windows Azure Services
Deliver self-service experiences for virtual machines and high-density website hosting to your customers while lowering your costs. Create high scale, multi-tenant website hosting services that are simple to deploy and administer, operating tens of thousands of sites in a single web farm. Create extensible 'Infrastructure as a Service' offerings for customers to provision and manage VMs. Customize and extend the portal experiences using the REST-based Service Management API to include branding, billing, custom service integration as well as integration into existing portals.

Download and install the Web Sites service on machines dedicated for the Web Sites roles.

Download the Service Management Portal and Service Management API Express bits to install the Admin and Tenant portals, and the Service Management API on one machine.

Read the detailed step-by-step installation guide to complete the installation.
