Cathriona Hallahan

Managing Director Microsoft Ireland

Cathriona Hallahan is Managing Director for Microsoft in Ireland, responsible for driving Microsoft’s commercial and consumer business on the island of Ireland.

In addition to managing the continued growth and expansion of the business, Cathriona also represents the Company on all strategic policy, corporate affairs and communications issues including overseeing a series of community, education and innovation programmes.

Cathriona joined Microsoft in 1986 and over the past 28 years has held a variety of senior roles in both Finance and Operations. She has managed large teams with regional and global responsibilities across a range of functions including global responsibilities for Microsoft Business Services and Enterprise Services, as well as directing Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customer Care and IT & Financial support for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Immediately prior to assuming her new role, Cathriona was Managing Director for Microsoft’s Dublin based EMEA Operations Centre (EOC) for the previous four years. In this role, she was responsible for a 600 strong team that manages Operations across 120 countries.

In addition to her Microsoft responsibilities she also sits on the boards of Solas, Children’s Hospital Group Board and the DanceSport Federation of Ireland. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, Institute of Directors, Institute of Accounting Technicians (IATI) and is a fellow of ACCA. She is also former board member of VHI and Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.

Cathriona is a qualified Executive Coach and is passionate about Change Management and Leadership Development. She was awarded CEO Businesswoman of the year 2014 by Image Magazine, 2009 O2 WMB Businesswoman of the Year, one of the 2013 and 2014 WXN 25 Most Powerful women in Ireland, and Business & Finance Person of the Month during 2013.

I joined Microsoft in January 2012 as part of the Microsoft Ireland Leadership team with responsibility for the Enterprise and Partner Group. I have spent over 20 years in the IT industry in a variety of sales management and general management roles across Ireland, UK and the Nordics. I am passionate about customers and my focus is to understand my customers' business and how IT can help these customers. I work closely with my colleagues in Microsoft and our partners to ensure our customers drive business value from their investments in Microsoft solutions. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Trinity and an MBA from Smurfit Business school.

Karl joined Microsoft Ireland in 2009 to lead our Partner Sales and Microsoft Dynamics business teams. Karl brings over 20 years business experience, prior to Microsoft, Karl spent 11 years as an executive (primarily Sales and Country Manager roles) in the Enterprise, Resource and Planning Software (ERP) and prior to that in a number of finance roles after starting his career in Price Waterhouse Cooper. Karl holds a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Irish Management Institute from their Executive Development Program."

Colin Chapman

Consumer Channel Lead Ireland

I lead the Consumer Channels Group, working with Retail, Original Equipment Manufacturers and Telecom Partners,  as well as leading our marketing programmes targeting the consumer. I have spent the last 16 years in a variety of sales, marketing and general management roles across Europe in FMCG. I have a passion for getting insights on customers, shoppers and, of course the consumer. I have worked with many of the large global retailers such as Tesco, Carrefour,  Boots, DM on various strategic category management programs, and also worked on Go To Market and Sales Excellence projects in small and large markets.

I am originally from the UK,  but I have been in Ireland since 2011. Outside of work, I am heavily involved with Portmarnock FC, managing one of the U9 teams and is also a huge fan of Arsenal FC.

Richard Moore

Operations Director

I'm the Marketing and Operations Director for the Irish subsidiary of Microsoft, responsible for the commercial operations of the subsidiary, including marketing, forecasting, budgeting, planning and business strategy. I'm fascinated by how our technology helps our customers work, learn and play and I'm particularly excited to be at Microsoft as we transform to a devices and services company and the role we can play in Ireland to drive this.

I joined Microsoft in 2005, and have worked in the Irish business and also in our Western European HQ. I've previously worked in management consulting and in several technology start-ups in the UK. I have an Engineering and Computer Science Degree from Oxford and an MBA from INSEAD. I'm married with five kids – so life is busy – and I'm interested in football, music and travelling.

I am the Subsidiary Controller for Microsoft Ireland. I joined Microsoft in 2007 and have since held a variety of positions in finance in Turkish subsidiary, MEA region. My primary role is to partner with the business to achieve our quarterly financial accountability commitments  in a compliant way in line with Microsoft policies and develop financial plans that support the business in achieving our strategic goals.

Prior to joining Microsoft I worked for Lafarge Turkey for 7 years as a Financial Controller.

Christian Jago – Byrne

I am the country manager for advertising in Microsoft here in Ireland.  The team and I work with all the top agencies and brands to deliver high impact and hard-working solutions across great platforms like Skype, MSN, Xbox, Outlook.com, video and mobile. We deliver a highly connected audience at scale, across screens and at key moments right across the users day.

My career began back in 1997 in a traditional advertising agency and I started to deliver digital solutions for my clients from as early as 2000. I then moved to digital marketing agencies so have been in this field from the very beginning here in Ireland. This was followed by some time spent in senior positions in both the newspaper and classified businesses, before moving to Microsoft in 2011. So I’m a media man through and through.

Outside of work I spend most of my time being taxi for my three kids. When I’m not doing that I fly fish, road and mountain bike and take a lot of pictures on lots of different devices. I’m very passionate about my technology and my gadgets.
