Since Microsoft opened its first operation in Ireland in 1985, the company has focused on participating in the local community. As we have grown to employ over 1,200 full time staff across three different divisions, this commitment has remained a constant focus for the company and our staff.

We run a range of community initiatives under our “Unlimited Potential” programme in Ireland which are designed to help individuals and communities to achieve their goals and dreams through relevant, accessible, and affordable technologies. We also recognize that our staff are already doing fantastic work in the community which is often outside our core corporate programmes and as a result we have built a series of programmes and activities that help to support our staff.

In 2011 an inspiring and moving ceremony saw 13 course participants graduate bringing the total number of course graduates to 245
Fast Track to IT Fast-track to IT (FIT)
Microsoft partners with the Fast-track to IT (FIT) who focus on supporting people who are unemployed in the long term to build new skills, primarily IT skills to get back into the workforce.
Internet Safety Day Internet Safety Day 2011
88 Microsoft Volunteers visited 95 schools and trained 300+ teachers and 12,100 primary school children on Internet Safety !!
