Anand ends up in a mental asylum when the girl he loves, Maya, is killed because of his carelessness. At the mental hospital, Anand endears himself to all the patients but most of the doctors and staffers hate him for his audacity. Dr. Khurana who is nothing short of a tyrant heads the asylum. His daughter, Dr. Tanvi, can’t bear Anand’s antics at first but she has a change of heart once Dr. Sunil asks her to adopt a sympathetic attitude towards him and, as a lead, gives her an insight into his past life. Dr. Sunil owes his medical degree to Anand’s rich father who had funded his education. Once, Dr. Tanvi learns of Anand’s past, she works very hard to cure him – and she succeeds. While treating Anand, Dr. Tanvi ends up falling in love with him. All hell breaks loose when Tanvi’s strict father, Dr. Khurana, learns of the love affair. Even as the now medically fit Anand is all set to leave the hospital And start life afresh with Tanvi, Dr. Khurana ensures that the hospital does not discharge Anand, under the pretext that he still needs shock treatment.
