James O'Connor Microsoft Ireland Site Leader and Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Global Operations Service Center

James holds responsibility for Operations teams globally which includes supporting sales enablement, regional revenue processing, launch of products and services and optimizing internal processes. James’ leadership is focused on driving end-to-end Customer and Partner experience, aligned with the mission to make doing business with Microsoft easy. James currently plays a pivotal role in leading Microsoft’s internal digital transformation of Operations.  

James has worked in Microsoft’s HQ in Redmond, Seattle and has held a variety of regional and global leadership positions across the IT and Operations organizations, including leading Global Operations for Microsoft's Enterprise Services business and Microsoft's Dynamics Business Division.

As a former President and board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland, James currently leads the Cyber Security work group. James is a Chair and a Board Member of Junior Achievement and ADAPT (The Global Centre of Excellence for Digital Content and Media Innovation).

A Computer Science graduate, James is a regular industry speaker on topics including Customer Experience, Digital Transformation, AI, Education and Digital Skills.

Joanne Morrissey HR Director Microsoft Ireland

Joanne Morrissey (McCrohan) is currently the HR Director for Microsoft Ireland.  Since joining Microsoft in 2013, Joanne has overseen the growth of the employee footprint in Microsoft Ireland, supporting the expansion of business units such as Operations, Field and Digital Sales, Software Engineering and Data Centre Operations.  She leads the HR function and is driven to create the conditions for people to love what they do.

Prior to joining Microsoft, she held several HR positions at Kellogg Europe, Standard Life, Telefonica O2 and Diageo Ireland.  While at Diageo Joanne worked in a variety of HR roles in both the corporate head office in London and at a local subsidiary level in Dublin and Belfast, covering areas such as HR business partnering, organization development and HR service delivery.

Joanne has a master’s degree in Organizational & Business Psychology from Queen’s University Belfast and is a graduate from University College Dublin. In addition, to her role at Microsoft Joanne is a member of the Board of Directors for FIT (Fast Track to Information Technology) an organization that is committed to developing Ireland’s technical talent pipeline by creating routes and training options for job seekers and career changers wishing to pursue opportunities in Ireland’s digital economy.

Joanne is a mum of three children and enjoys swimming in her free time.

Catherine Doyle, General Manager Microsoft Ireland

Catherine Doyle joined Microsoft Ireland as General Manager on the 1st of July where she leads the sales, marketing, and services business across the island of Ireland. In her new role, Catherine is focused on driving digital transformation for both public and private sector organisations, leveraging innovative technologies such as AI and cloud computing to help them achieve greater efficiency and success.

With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Catherine has held various senior roles within the technology industry. Before her current position at Microsoft, she served as Managing Director for Dell Technologies in Ireland, overseeing the commercial and enterprise businesses in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Her tenure at Dell Technologies was marked by significant contributions to the company's growth and market share, particularly in the EMEA Software Sales Division and the Strategic Outsourcers team.

Catherine's vision for Microsoft Ireland is centred on empowering organisations to embrace digital innovation and to harness the power of technology to realise their full potential. Her commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and social responsibility aligns with Microsoft's mission of empowering every person on the planet to achieve more.

Outside of her professional life, Catherine resides in County Kildare with her husband, Stuart, and their two children, Hannah and Kyran. She is an enthusiast of the outdoors, enjoying hiking and traveling, and she values spending quality time with friends and family.

Áine Nolan is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Microsoft Ireland commercial business where she plays a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy of the organisation. Áine collaborates closely with sales leaders to not only exceed business objectives but also to identify potential opportunities and mitigate risks. Her strategic growth plans ensure sustainable financial health and robust performance.

As a Chartered Accountant who trained at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Áine brings a wealth of expertise and a keen analytical mind to her role. Her previous senior finance roles at ESB and Irish Distillers Pernod-Ricard have given her a deep understanding of financial management and corporate governance.

Áine holds a BBS in Business and French from the University of Limerick. Beyond her professional achievements, Áine is also a dedicated board member of the Asthma Society of Ireland, where she contributes her financial expertise to support the organisation's mission. She is married to Drew and is a proud mother of two children.

John O’Doherty, Enterprise Commercial Director

As Enterprise Commercial Director, John is responsible for Microsoft enterprise commercial business across the island of Ireland.

He has 25 years’ experience in the communications and hi-tech industries in Ireland and across Western Europe, working in the electronics, management consulting and software development, focused on helping customers digitally transform their businesses empower their employees and engage their customers to optimise operations and transform their products and services.

John is a B Comm. graduate of University College Cork and has a post-graduate diploma from the Irish Law Society.

As Director for Microsoft’s Specialist and Technical Sales teams, Hugh is responsible for driving new business opportunities and solution sales growth, providing leadership to the solution sales and technical sales teams enabling them to thrive and perform at their best.

Hugh also leads our Microsoft Technology Centre in Dublin where alongside his team, he works with customers and partners to understand their key challenges, empowering them to digitally transform and stay relevant within a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Having joined Microsoft in November 2022, Hugh brings over 25 years’ experience in IT, with a track record of building, developing, and growing strategic business units in Ireland and overseas. Before joining Microsoft, Hugh spent 15 years as the service director in the Microsoft partner community.

Personally, Hugh is passionate about working shoulder to shoulder with great people and teams, collaborating, learning in a supportive environment. He is committed to maintaining a strong and passionate work ethic and thought leadership in all engagements and interactions. Hugh is a business graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Michael McGrath Customer Success Lead

Michael McGrath Customer Success Lead

Michael joined Microsoft Ireland in March 2020, he is responsible for cloud adoption, supporting enterprise customers through their digital transformation journey, and realising the value of their investment in technology.

He is an experienced leader with a broad commercial and Information Technology background, having worked in both SME and multi-national size organisations. Prior to joining Microsoft, Michael worked for Eircom and most recently with Dell Technologies, where he was Services Director, managing a specialist sales and services team in the Western Europe & Russia region.

Michael holds a master’s in Business Administration, specialising in technology, change management and corporate governance from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University College Dublin.

Michael is from Wicklow, married with four children and when he does have spare time, is a keen sportsman. Michael enjoys running, swimming, cycling and volunteers as a rugby coach and referee with his local club. He’s passionate about technology, coaching and developing people, music and current affairs.

Claire Hillis

Clare Hillis Partner Sales Director Microsoft Ireland

Clare Hillis is the Partner Sales Director for Microsoft Ireland and is a key member of the Microsoft Ireland Leadership team. She is dedicated to harnessing groundbreaking technologies like AI and cloud computing to unlock the fullest potential of both partners and customers. She is responsible for driving partner engagement, facilitating connections, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance Microsoft’s partner across the island of Ireland.

Since joining Microsoft in May 2022, Clare held the position of Channel Sales Lead where she was instrumental in helping partners grow their business and in supporting our mutual customers to drive digital transformation across both the public and private sectors. Her unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion has seen her champion numerous initiatives, where our partners are supported and engaged. Clare's dedication to promoting women in tech has fostered a more inclusive and innovative community.

Before joining Microsoft, Clare held various senior roles across the UK and Ireland within the technology industry for both BT and Vodafone. Most recently she served as Country Manager for Vodafone in NI, where she was responsible for overall business revenue and margin growth. Clare's tenure at Vodafone was marked by significant contributions to the company's success, particularly in the Enterprise business across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Kieran McCorry

Kieran McCorry is the National Technology Officer for Microsoft Ireland 

Kieran McCorry is the National Technology Officer for Microsoft Ireland with responsibility for representing Microsoft across the island of Ireland to broad audiences, including both public and private sector customers and partners, on technology vision, particularly in this new area of AI, while also engaging with stakeholders on national policy.

With over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, he works across many segments of the technology landscape including those of cloud computing, digital transformation, analytics, privacy and data protection, AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. Kieran is a regular speaker at global conferences, is the author of four books on Microsoft Exchange, and holds several patents in the areas of Big Data and Analytics.

Kieran holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, a BLS (Hons) in Law, and an LLM in Corporate Governance and Public Policy from Queen’s University Belfast, as well as a Professional Certificate in Digital Policy from University College Dublin, a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development from Trinity College Dublin, and an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection Law from the Honorable Society of King’s Inns.

He sits on the Board of Technology Ireland (Ibec’s technology body), the Odyssey Trust which is dedicated to advancing STEM and social programmes in Northern Ireland, and is a member of the Irish Government’s Enterprise Digital Advisory Forum designed to support the digitalisation of enterprise across Ireland. Kieran is also a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society. 

Jonathan Eustace

Jonathan Eustace Small Midmarket and Corporate Lead

Jonathan is a technology enthusiast, who leads the Small Midmarket & Corporate team at Microsoft. He has 15 years of experience in business operations, channel sales management, enterprise software sales, and cloud computing. He is focused on helping customers and partners drive innovation and impact using the Microsoft Cloud, and unlocking business value in this new era of AI.

He holds a Masters in Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Jonathan loves travelling, rugby and playing golf in his spare time – something that is now limited as he raises a young family with his wife Ann Marie.
