Charlie Smith is a down on his luck detective. He begins to investigate some robberies committed by a woman dressed as a cat. Soon he catches the woman, the ravishing Carrie Erskine, a double-crossing heroin thief. However, instead of bringing her in to face the consequences of her crimes, he begins to fall in love with her. The two go to work together for some major cash, working on the wrong side of the law, co-existing uneasily in the criminal world.
