In the TORTURE GARDEN, visitors to a carnival side show are dared by the sinister Dr. Diabolo (Burgess Meredith) to see what is in store for them if they permit the evil in their nature to rule their lives. First to accept the challenge is Colin Williams, a man who finds that his lust for an uncle's money leads to murder. And while Carla Hayes (Beverly Adams) faces the prospect of being turned into an automaton -- or meeting death -- her cousin, Dorothy Endicott, finds her future holds the promise of a love affair with a famous pianist as the spirit of his possessive mother uses his grand piano to torment her. A collector of the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Ronald Wyatt (Jack Palance) envies a superb collection belonging to Lancelot Canning (Peter Cushing), whose refusal to reveal his most treasured secret leads to violence and murder. And, finally, Dr. Diabolo challenges his audience to view their own futures in the TORTURE GARDEN.
