    • Team Server is required for version control systems if more than one Application Object Server (AOS) is used.

    • Team Server is required for the Microsoft Visual SourceSafe and Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server version control systems, because the topologies for version control integration with Visual SourceSafe and Visual Studio Team Foundation Server call for the use of more than one AOS.

    • Team Server is optional if the out-of-the-box MorphX VCS is used, because one AOS is shared under MorphX VCS.
