This page is provided for your convenience as an overview of the terms and conditions that govern use of Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (collectively known as Business Applications). Ancillary services, software, and content may be governed by additional or different terms not listed below.

Service Agreement & Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum

Your use of the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 online services is governed by the terms and conditions of the agreement(s) under which you obtained the services.

  • For customers who purchase or renew a subscription (including free trials) online from Microsoft, your use is governed either by the Microsoft Online Subscription Agreement or the Microsoft Customer Agreement, which incorporates the Product Terms and the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum ("DPA"). Both of these documents are located on the Licensing Terms page. Your use is governed by the Microsoft Online Subscription Agreement if the Microsoft Customer Agreement is not available in your geography.
  • For customers who purchase a subscription through a volume licensing agreement, such as an Enterprise Agreement, your use is governed by the volume licensing agreement under which you purchased the services, which incorporates the Product Terms and the DPA. You can obtain a copy of your volume licensing agreement by contacting your Microsoft account representative or volume licensing.

  • The Microsoft Trust Center provides detailed information on security, privacy, and compliance topics for customers of Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft Online Services. The Service Trust Portal (STP) is a companion feature to the Trust Center that provides access to audit reports, GDPR documentation, compliance guides and related documents that provide more detailed information on how Microsoft helps protect your data.   • The Service Level Agreements describe commitments around uptime and connectivity for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

  • The Dynamics 365 US Government Service Description provides information about Dynamics 365 Government Community Cloud services.

  • Dynamics and Power Platform Customer Programs Agreement

    • The Dynamics and Power Platform Customer Programs Agreement applies to your use of Dynamics and Power Platform beta, technical preview, or other pre-release features, online services, or software offered by Microsoft for optional evaluation, unless other terms are specified for a preview.

    • The Preview Supplemental Terms may include additional legal terms that apply to your use of a Dynamics 365 preview.
    • The Preview Supplemental Terms may include additional legal terms that apply to your use of a Power Platform preview.
    • These terms and conditions apply to your use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Communication Services Previews.
  • The supplemental terms below apply to your use of the applicable Trial Service.

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Trials: These Supplemental Terms govern your use unless other terms are specified for a Trial.
    • Microsoft Dynamics Customer Voice Trial: These Supplemental Terms govern your use of the Dynamics Customer Voice trial offer.

Privacy Statement

The Microsoft Privacy Statement describes the privacy policy and practices that govern your use of Microsoft’s software and services, unless otherwise provided. The Product Terms or Preview Supplemental Terms may specify a different privacy statement for some services.

Ancillary Services, Software, and Other Documents


  • LCS is an administration portal that provides an environment and various services that help you collaborate and manage the application lifecycle of certain Dynamics 365 services, specifically your implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. Your use of LCS is governed by the Combined Terms for Channel Partners, Customers, and Prospects. See the Third Party Notice for this service.

  • These supplemental terms apply to your use of Copilot and other generative AI features within Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Viva Sales that are powered by the Azure OpenAI Service.

  • The Microsoft Terms of Use apply to your use of the LCS and Dynamics 365 website. If you have a Dynamics 365 subscription, your purchase and use of the Dynamics 365 service is governed by the terms and conditions of the agreement(s) under which you purchased the service.
