A world of possibilities opened up for 70 Polish high-school girls who were very excited to explore the potential of AI for the future. Brimming with enthusiasm and determination, these students fully embraced the challenges set before them. And, with the help of their mentors and the notable speakers who took part in the event, they developed practical solutions to global problems and made a stand for girls in STEM, just a few days before International Women’s Day.
Building purpose @Bucharest Hackathon

For the 130 girls that took part in the event, a lot changed in just 2 days: they made great memories, made some new friends, learned valuable life skills and discovered new prospects for the future. With the help of over 80 speakers, mentors and volunteers, these students learned how to implement their ideas and develop new technologies. This exciting first step into the world of tech and AI will be the start of a life-long journey for many of them, as they continue to envision the future.
Impossible things before breakfast @Athens bootcamp 27-30 August, 2018
Under the topic “Alice envisions the future – How Artificial Intelligence can impact the way we see the world”, 160 enthusiastic adolescents from 22 countries, along with 60 teachers participated in the first ever AI Bootcamp dedicated to girls. 15 speakers and 20 trainers showed them the ways AI and new technologies are changing the world through workshops, engaging Q&A sessions, discussions and one Hackathon by the beach.

Springtime in New York City was the perfect setup for Alice envisions the future #GirlsinAI Hackathon, NYC edition. It revealed nature’s rebirth even in the most populous city of US and it boosted girls energy to learn STEM. We welcomed 50 eager girls to find more about the amazing world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Like you and like any Alice out there, they dared to believe in themselves and in their dreams.
Breaking the SF barriers @San Francisco Hackathon

On the second weekend of summer, Alice’s journey through AI took her to San Francisco. For 2 days, the teenage girls of San Francisco became Alice, and with the help of Microsoft mentors, they developed prototype solutions to solve some of the greatest problems the world is facing today. Our girls were grouped in 7 teams and worked together for a bigger cause: a brighter future with AI.

Eager for knowledge, more than 50 girls poured their hearts and souls into trying to understand how Artificial Intelligence can address some of the greatest challenges our society is facing nowadays. Climate change, cyber-bullying or mental health were some of the topics that caught our girls attention during Alice envisions the future #GirlsinAI Hackathon, Seattle edition. During those two days, our Seattle Alices showed how strong and ambitious they can really be when they want to obtain the best results with AI by their side.
