Business continuity is the ability to weather the loss of hardware, an application, service, or an entire data center with little to no data loss. This hardware-agnostic guide provides guidance for building the infrastructure necessary for business continuity of Microsoft SQL Server databases from the point of view of a hosted service provider (HSP) and tenant. Reference architecture in this context refers to various templates SQL Server administrators might use in building a business continuity solution and provides a common language with which to discuss implementations.
