60-day price protection: Microsoft Store Price Adjustment: Valid on purchases of qualifying physical consumer products and Surface for Business devices made at Microsoft Store and Microsoft Experience Centers in select markets for 60 days from the date product is received. Price adjustments for Surface for Business devices can be made via credit card for purchases made on Microsoft.com website only. Eligible Retailer Price Adjustment: Valid on purchases of qualifying new consumer physical products from Microsoft Store and Microsoft Experience Centers in select markets for 60 days from the date product is received. Excludes Surface for Business devices and accessories, XBOX consoles, and refurbished products. An Eligible Retailer Price Adjustment cannot be requested at time of purchase. Microsoft reserves the right to verify an eligible retailer’s advertised price and availability of the product. The Extended Hardware Service Plans will range from two to four years and may vary by plan, by device, and by country or region.
Extended Hardware Service Plans cover mechanical or electrical failures due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. It does not cover issues outside this scope, such as accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs.

[1] Drive (SSD) Retention permits customers the option to retain their removable SSD during service events at no additional charge. Drive Retention is only available on Microsoft Surface devices in which the SSD is marketed as removable per the technical specifications on the product’s description page. Microsoft recommends that only technically inclined individuals with the knowledge, experience, and required tools perform the SSD removal following Microsoft’s instructions. Opening and/or repairing your device can present electric shock, device damage, fire and personal injury risks, and other hazards. Use caution if undertaking do-it-yourself repairs. Microsoft is not liable for any damages sustained. Further, any resulting damage to the device or component will not be covered under the Microsoft Limited Hardware warranty or Protection Plans.
Country of purchase of the Protection Plan must match the purchaser country of record as established by their billing address, not shipping address for the device.
