Copilot Credits are a flexible, usage-based system that power Microsoft Copilot experiences and agents. Credits are used whenever Copilot or an agent performs a task or generates a response—whether summarizing, answering a question, generating content, or completing actions.

- Copilot Studio that’s included with Microsoft 365 Copilot lets the licensed users build and use internal agents within Microsoft 365 at no additional cost.
The standalone Copilot Studio license offers additional flexibility—you can publish agents to external channels (like websites, apps, and social platforms), non-licensed users can use the agent, and you can choose from different pricing options. - Copilot Studio is sold as tenant-wide license which includes Copilot Credit capacity packs of 25,000 Copilot Credits each, priced at €187.20/pack/month. Whenever an action or response is completed by an agent, a varying number of Copilot Credits will be billed depending on the specific usage.
Copilot Studio is also available as a pay-as-you-go meter in addition to the existing Copilot Credit capacity packs. This will allow customers the flexibility to only pay for the Copilot Credits they consume at the end of their monthly billing period. This pay-as-you-go meter requires no up-front license commitment, allowing customers to scale usage and help ensure business continuity for critical business processes.
Copilot Studio is also available as a pre-purchase plan. This includes prepaid Copilot Credit Commit Units—ideal for organizations who want to choose their credit amount upfront and manage variable month-to-month usage. - There are no in-product features or capability differences between the Copilot Credit pack and the pay-as-you-go meter. The only difference is the way a customer pays for the service. With Copilot Credit packs, a customer pays up front (€187.20/pack/month for 25,000 Copilot Credits). The pay-as-you-go meter requires no up-front license commitment and allows customers to pay only for the Copilot Credit capacity they use at the end of the billing period.
